Please check out my new track 'No More' and post your comments here!

This is my first proper dubstep tune (as in "I'm going to finish this"). The genre I usually do is Liquid Funk, in fact I have difficulties with making things like Jump Up and such because they wouldn't allow me to use melodies... Now that being said, this tune isn't finished yet. I've been looking for a good way to do both "drops" into dnb (this song has 2 short dnb parts in it), so I'm really looking for suggestions about this. If your opinion is that these dnb parts shouldn't be in it at all, I wish to hear so too of course :-)

Cheers onto my first track on drumnbass.be :-)
Be honest and do not spare me Big Grin

Cool melods and bass in begg. the switch ups keep it interesting. Drums sit bak a little 2 much thou. The 1st dnb drop sound NICE! but personally would piss me off cos its so short. Imo id make it longer or id cut the 1st dnb drop and continue wit wot was after and put the 1st dnb drop where the 2nd is or there abouts and play it out till the end of the trak. Goin from dnb bak 2 dub s would piss 'me' off. The 2nd dnb drop was alot less effective. Over all fekin wikid trak, C wot others say bout structer.

In fact I kind of have the same idea about tempo changes over an entire night. Tempo can go up but not down for me too Big Grin
In the original I had it like you said, not coming back to dubstep, let's hear what others have to say about this and maybe I'll stop searching for that second drop and have the dnb go until the end instead :-)

Thanks for commenting, appreciate it!

Very nice synths, loving the melodic style of things.
The beat could use some more oomph, it sounds like you wanted to go for dnb, then decided to make it dubstep.
Bassline is also real nice, no problem there.
Overall, a good effort with a big sound!

Remove DnB sections and keep as Dustep imo. The main body is quite good and has an authentic dubstep groove the DNB bit doesnt work for me. Would prefere this as a more hard hitting track like whats going on at 4.30. The melody could be used a lot less and just for the break me thinks. Turn the bass up and the tune down. Has potential depending on which way you take it.

I would remove the DnB parts as they ruin the relaxed atmosphere. The breathing sounds are not really adding to anything imo.
Proper melodic dubstep with good mixing and mastering!

I changed the DNB parts into something more like drumstep, I'll probably remove it though because I am probably indeed just sacrificing the rest of the track..

New version is here http://soundcloud.com/crispyliquids/crispy-liquids-no-more-1

(with the drumstep-like dnb parts that is)
