It's too hot at the moment... so there are a lot of mediocre and even bad tracks out there. Some people are exploring the borders of the genre but about 90% of that stuff is even worse than wobwobwob (check out the K-mag article about the new hot dubstep, most of it is utter rubbish).
This is a normal phase in the life of a genre... everyone is on it. Next up is commercial success, then some will leave and in the end it will be like DnB right now.

its not my taste, although credit is due, as you have to respect its success. also age break on here makes some good dubstep tunes in my opinion. it can also still be good for drum and bass. if people asosciate the two like this site has, then it can only mean a larger audience for dnb

alot of dubstep is shit, but there is alot of good stuff out there too
and people get pulled in by the mainstream stuff.
just like pendulum, people get pulled in by them and than see heyy theres even better stuff then this!
but the tunes I listen too, are the once with jazzy/soul melodies + sub bass, or the extreme filthy stuff hahah
and the dubstep I make is more the mainstream one atm, but thats kinda how you start out.

thanks man
really makes me glad you like my tunes
!
and I agree about dubstep making drum and bass more known as well.
the sad thing though, alot of dnb producers who are sick, turn to dubstep just for the money...
but I understand it, dubstep is kinda easier to make.
and money is better if your big, take rusko he now also has sets on house, and dance parties, he has become like a rockstar in the dubstep scene
but anyways keep dubstep alive, and there will always be those producers who are sick at what they're doing!
i am not annoyed at all, because i just dont listen to things i dont like. lol
well my story is that, the guy who introduced dubstep to me, provided me with the best tunes he had at that moment. and now i dont really search for smth, just collect the albums|eps of the artists i got to know from him. reso, toasty boy, distance, scuba, broken note, burial etc..
recently my friend got a 30 gb ( ! ) library of dubstep. and he didn't find anything worth listening.
so no need to dig pile of shit: better listen to the radio, ask your mates, exchange opinions and most important have fun/enjoy music, dont be annoyed with it
Sooner or later someone will come up with the next big thing in dubstep and then everyone will be after sounding exactly like that again.
Just like a lot of youngsters get on here and ask to sound like Noisia or Pendulum or what not.
Conclusion: first try to master wubwubwub, then try to be original. You might be the next big thing in dubstep (or DnB).

Why being annoyed? The wubwubwub has a somehow psychodelic effect... I like it, although there are many other variations of dubstep which i like aswell.
to quote deadmau5: "Dubstep is the slower Drum n Bass"
I am never annoyed by any genre that has originality, and helps to promote bass heavy music, and also promotes great production work. I dislike most popular music, but every now and then something will come along in this genre that on some level I have to respect. The beauty of all music is some hate, some love. Either way, as Lady Sovereign has said, its still an obsession.
