Silvahfonk - jungletrain.net promomix may 2010
Silvahfonk has been presenting his love for jungle/drum and bass since 1996. In 2005, he started his first jungletrain.net show, "Silvahclash," which helped him present himself to the Dutch scene. He proved his ability to fascinate people with creative and diverse mixing.
In 2008, Silvahfonk became a resident at the IChiOne parties, an event that has been regulary broadcasted by jungletrain.net. He decided to start a new jungletrain.net show, IChi Ryu, presenting the IChiOne sound (the deeper side of drum and bass). Unfortunately, after 6 years, the very last IChiOne event is set to be held on June 5th 2010 at the Flex Bar in Amsterdam. Despite the conclusion of the event series, its sound will live on with the IChi Ryu show, now co-hosted by Madcap and Phuture-T.
At the end of 2009, Silvahfonk fell in love with J-Tek (jungle techno). For the first time in his drum and bass carreer he now presents jungle techno, the roots of drum and bass. J-Tek is a crossover between techno, dub, reggae, 2-step and acid. The breaks are based on the slow and hypnotizing sounds of the 1992-1994 rave jungle era. The genre has been resurrected by drum & bass veterans such as Tango & Ratty, Outrage, Modular and Randall, the founders of J-Tek records.
In this mix Silvahfonk pieces together his two musical loves. The first half is J-Tek and the second half is drum & bass. Get ready for a 1 hour and 9 minute soulful flow of raw and dark grooves.

Broadcasting since 2001, jungletrain.net is a 24/7 drum & bass internet radio with ~50 LIVE shows a week. With ~100 DJs from around the world, the station showcases a variety of styles and sub-genres, with a focus on the deeper and more "subverted" sounds of drum & bass.
PROMOMIX SERIES
The jungletrain.net promomix series has been published monthly since December 2004. Each mix showcases a different jungletrain.net DJ, offering a taste of his/her show on jungletrain.net. Starting in October 2009 the promomix series began to also feature an occasional special edition "engineers" mix, featuring dubplates and unreleased tracks from jungletrain.net producers and affiliated labels.
