I was considering a Microkorg, is it a good synth? And I saw a JX-3P, it looks nice; but I'd like a synth with plenty of rotaries/sliders...
My friend has an MC-303 to. It's a nice lookin' machine.

I'm no master, far from.
And now for a unLOLed answer
I used to have a TB-303 bassline synth and a TR808 drum computer. Back then it was a complete studio. Next I had an MC-303 and an MC-505 which are lousy shit compared to the first 2 I mentioned. I never bothered to buy hardware again as nowadays you can do anything inbox.
I don't even have a midi keyboard because I have been making music without one for so long that it would feel weird to use it now.
A good PC with a good soundcard and some pro monitors will do much more for your production than any synth will. The only thing I'd like to have in terms of hardware is NI Kore (and NI Complete to go with that, but that's no hardware).

USED to - oh, TB-303s are such prized pieces of kit --- I'm wondering how long it took you to afford it!
And you're right about having good kit [does help, lol], I'd say that building up your personal studio is an ongoing process; there always seem to be new things to buy or improve.

that's a recreation of the Juno 106 (which I would mind havin as well), not the Alpha Juno.. chorus on the Alpha's is different..
best vsti recreation i've heard must be sylenth1, their dominator preset is just exactly the same like the what the? preset on the alpha with a short attack
roland juno 60, roland mc202, roland sp808, access virus b, jomox xbase09, nord micromodular, korg er-1, akai s2000, s3000xl, mackie sr24.4 vlz pro, dbx compressors and eq units.
all i use is an apple g4 laptop with NI audio kontrol, a lot of native instruments programmes, sometimes the virus will come out. all the above lives in roadcases (although the juno 60 has recently come out with some of my boss and d.o.d distortion pedals....)
honestly id like to sell a lot of my gear, although i have become quite attached, and compared to what i paid around 2000, 2001, would get fuck all back for it all.
Back when i started out it was all hardware, hence all the gear, with the power of computers these days, like battledrone said, all you need is some good monitors and your set to go.
maybe a virus though...... fuckin awesome piece of kit.... oh, and my jomox... i think i might get it out.... shit, look what youve gone done now. Ah, all those leads are probably fucked now anyway!
