ez chaps Smile
ok so im in the market for a good/decent soundcard,
(in the next few weeks or so).
heres a few of my requirements,
needs to be pci express
(no breakout boxes, and no usb s/c's pls).
i need to use the front headphone socket on the pc
(i really cant be assed to keep dragging the pc out of its home and changing the plugs round the back every time i want to use my cans).
i would like to steer away from the soundblaster range too,
preferably with its own processor(but this will be depend on cost of course)
connections, phat jacks, mini jacks, xlr's, mic ins etc.
price err shall we say the lower end of the market,
but not lowest of the low end.
thoughts and opinions pls guys Smile

M-audio Delta range does that, except for front headphone jack.
Use an extender cord to bring the back plug to the front instead or get a model with a breakout box that brings all connections to the front.
Just look at the various types of cards they offer and see what covers your needs.

It's piss easy to install.

why don't you want a break out box?

would get around the need to get round the back of the computer when you want to change any wiring
