I'm just thinking about all my 'kit; I'm getting a synthesizer and hopefully some Technics, and I'll need to get a mic. and a new PC... but what about my monitors?! At the moment I've got Behringer MS20s (which costed me £80), What are the good and bad points to these speakers, and what speakers do you use?
I'll eventually need to upgrade, so what affordable monitors should I look at gettin'?

Don't buy behringer. They suck anus. I reckon the best value at the moment are the Yamaha HS-80M... I just bought a pair and they shit all over Alesis M1 Active MkII's I used to have. That's my opinion Smile

i got 8" behringer for 4 years ! one was killed during a party after 6 months (twitter exploded) and the other is still alive. they are really bad in term of conception, i got many vibrations problems due to a bad building of the monitor. i tried krk rokit and they have a really better sound and conception. so yes, DON'T BUY BEHRINGER MONITORS, and i suggest KRK Big Grin

80's are bigger lol,
(also more low end in the 80's) but not really suited for tiny rooms.
