Season 2 in "Stupid FL related questions by Puzzle".
So yeah, when I render my latest tune, it sounds really different from what it sounds "inside the DAW".
Somehow seems that some of the sounds are delayed, and some of my notes are
overlapping eachother even tho I have my maximum polymony set to 1.
I have tried rendering with and without delay compensation and 'disable max poly' and with different filetypes and bit depths.
Always have the same problem.
- try rendering to .wav from the mixing desk, rather than file >> export.
- go through the project and make sure all the automation clips reset themselves.
- something to do with the rendering settings?
- too much compression/ limiting on the master?
all i can think of off the top of my head....will add more later.
is this just now or have you had this problem before, or still?
otherwise, I could make like a screeny of the original settings for the save as thingy.
never changed anything cept for 320kb at mp3, and 16 bit at wav.
maybe this would help, otherwise, try going to a forum from flstudio itself (on the image line site maybe? idk if they have one tbh..)

I don't have any automation clips on it yet
And I don't have any compression on it either.

I think he means when you open your mixer, you see this transparent save symbols at the bottom (also on master)
clicking that makes a window open (just normal left click nor right, than the thing turns orange / yellow (lil color blind here))
and doing this on master I think it makes the whole tune get saved in this way.
well he has to tell you that though, as im not sure.
to render to a .wav from the mixing desk, bear with me, this is off the top of my head, no fl studio in front of me.....you select 'record' from the bottom right of the mixer and then at the top left of the mixer from the drop-down menu select 'render to disk' or something like that, then the render appears in projects >> recorded.....im sure i read somewhere that exporting that way is better than file>export because it renders the song backwards from the last bar minimizing latency on plug-ins, automation etc (but dont qoute me on that)....it'll also give you the option to export the mixer tracks seperately, might help to idendify where your mix is sounding wrong. im using fl studio 5 by the way, may be different in later versions. hope that helps.....
I would suggest uploading the FLP here, if you don't want people to "steal" your tune, just remove some random patterns or something it doesn't matter :p
Maybe your rendered version doesn't sound different, but your playback does! Check if the "Selected" mixed track has anything on it, if it has disable it and see if the playback sounds the same as your rendered one now!
try exporting each channel on the mixer seperately with the mixing desk rendering, it may be a problem with a particular track. you can also view everything about the project in the browser window, may be something added by accident......or maybe something to do with the playback settings, have you tried the mix on different systems?

I've tried exporting everything separately.. There's nothing suspicious on any mixer channels as I've already said, I've checked it multiple times. And yeah, I have also tried it on a few different systems.
Try checking the current project folder in the browser window, may be something in there that shouldn't be there. What version of fl are on? Try posting on the image-line forums, an fl studio egg-head there should be able to help you

Been there, done that.
Using FL 9.
And yeah, I'll post a thread about it on the IL forums.
