Not a good idea really! Try to avoid it. I personaly use soundgoodizer for pumping the bass sounds (that first knob is best from them all). Thats basicly all.
of course the things written in that help file are over emphasized because of marketing rules, that will eventually control the earth's spinnig direction and speed. quote 'wait for the good thing to happen'. if this plugin would actually deliver something good enough mastering engineers would die of hunger.
long will be the days until image line will deliver something better than fl studio.
until then long live bob katz's books, good articles, and the bunch of youtube vids aiming the mastering process.

You also think that their base of 1.000+ long-time users are idiots, right?
No mate. you misunderstood my post. i do not judge people for what they use. i meant that image line should stick to FL, improve it and leave mastering vsts to others (i.e. waves).
in terms of music you should lower your treshold to about -5 and increase your attack to about 10 mins so next time you will not rush to the reply button.
cheers!

Very amateurish device.
The thing is it was never meant to be anything else. It's basically just a stripped down version of maximus, 4 presets and the mix knob, and was originally released as a promo.
If you want something less "amateurish" try maximus.

You really don't have the audacity to tell me what to do. What's the matter of fact, it was clearly stated this:

by your self. You really should have sticked to explaining your post only.

Now on topic: Soundgoodizer is cool for beefing things. The first preset is most usable. It is a simple preset compressor/loudness maximizer, obviously. Use it in slight amounts and might do wonders for your track (especially because you don't have to tweak anything). Of course, if you are a control freak like me, you won't even touch it

chill the fuck out man. i've never said that fl users are idiots but maybe some of them are. i begin to change my mind.
feel yourself an idiot just because you interpret my post this way. i've explained myself.
Because Soundgoodizer is so easy to use it is attractive to people who haven't got a clue about mastering and so they are tempted to "turn it to 11" because it will sound more gritty and in-your-face which is awful in the end.

@all others: cool down! I read this as "FL is so good that Image Line will have a hard time to come up with something better".
And that's true, especially since the latest version.

First of i think the soundgoodizer is very usable.
I often use it on top of my other mastering effects.
And now with patcher u could actually make a 3 band soundgoodizer.
haven't tried that last 1 tho
.
It's all good but i thought it was just a stupid remark killer, u probably never even used maximus not 2 mention any of the vsti's they have for sale.
I'm actualy very exited about there new synth Harmor. http://youtu.be/q78aNv45C0E
