There is work out there but you'd probably be better off going to these places for work asap.

You'll probably start off as a tea boy/runner type person working for shit all but once you are there and show yourself to be willing and hard working you'll start to get the oppertunities to work yourself.

See my problem now is that went and got myself a sound engineering degree so now I'm 25, have a certificate and not much experience so I'm finding it hard to get work now.

If you are still young and living with folks or something like that then take the opportunity to work for nothing just so you can some vital experience and get your foot in the door.

If you haven't got any responsibilities then offer to work for free or for a nominal fee (i.e travel cost etc)

That way you can build up a portfilio of work experience ready for when you finish the course.

My problem was that I had to pay for the bills and rent so I had no choice but to get a crappy part time job leaving me no time to get any industry related experience

What sort of work was you thinking of within the industry?
