Reece bass is the sound that goes in my head these days... So it`s just a preview, currently working on FX and pads and arrangement.... But i`ve got the so called "creative blockade" and i need your opinion on this...
Well heres my opinion, i would scrap the intro highpassed reece, and save it for the build up to the drop... Then run some effects over it so you filter it comming in to a lowpass reece, then some crazy cymbal (reversed) and drop the beats in with another break highpassed over the top from about 350hz, add more percussion, beef the kick up some more, get more snap on the snare try layering some more snares over it, but no more than 3 maximum. The horny sound at the begining is trick but I would find a nice pad that builds from the intro, and get some other elements in there, to keep it interesting. It's a good effort all round, but I would listen to it, noting the key parts of the tune in your opinion and then rebuild it so you get some sort of energy going and then you have more of a flow, tell a story.. hope this helps..
love the style after the drop.....realy nice flow....nice variation on the hats in the second drop....nice kick and snare....bass is killin it......awsome stuff mate...
the intro is too sudden. the simple reece and the rides don't build up for the drop. you should have a moment of silence between the intro and the drop. the kick could use more power. and the first part is too poor. put some more percusion and shuffled snares layered some shakers, to make it more attractive. also you have no crashes, or swoosh effects, put some of those too, but not too many. the 2nd part sounds better, way better. the break is richer.
as BD said, the reece needs more mids. it sounds too separate from the bass.
anyway good effort. you got yourself a pretty nice tune! congrats.
like your choices of sound, but find the bass too texturized, bass and drums are nice done, breakdown is kind of too standard, but can do the thing. Some more variation can be added.
overall good bass, good drums, good engineering, just some more musical composition needed
daaamn sounds badass! that reese in beginning sounds sick when it comes up, and stays sick,
love it.
drums are a bit well not that energtic in some parts, whilst the bass stays argressive
love the song though, good job!
looking forward for the finihsed version!
