Please check out my new track 'Octane Fury' and post your comments here!
I really hope to turn this into a full track so if anybody knows any resources where i could get some nice atmospheric pads to start it off with or just atmospherics in general. im not too good at making intros, so it'd be nice to get some advice on that
that surprised me lol
yea it could be a nice rolling track mate!
anything can be a pad/drone/noise..Just try rresampling some stuf ,reversing them , pitching them up or down. Some one shots with a lot of reverb and pitced down a little could do a lot for the dark feeling ( if you are looking for it )
YOu could also try sampling some acoustic instruments (strings n stuff ) layering them and getting that phat pad sound ( sweeping filters and some automation also could help)..
or just look in any wav search engine some dark sounds, timestretch, loop and there u go.
build ups should be ...well there should be more of them
haha...
its sounds like you've put a some sort of tube effect on the master channel...
i don't like that but the beats are pretty powerfull and energetic...
bass should be more louder and compressed....
the overall melody of the track and the atmosphere in it is pretty
mixed up, somewhat dark somewhat funky...i really liked it....cheers..
very energetic man! like it
you can just make pads yourself, and search between the presets of synths and if you got something you like you can change it etc.
maybe search for a voice sample and pitch it down and put in between the song, like a little break, blows peoples brains out.
Definately needs an intro, and much more variation in the full body of the track. It;s a great idea but it drags on too long, people will turn off after 3 mins, its all about variation. You don't always need pads for an intro, you could use a vocal sample, a sound effect, anything aslong as it carries weight with it.
The intro should be little mysterious, listen to calyx and teebee, en i should less compresss your beats, your deynamics are fucked up, the mix is kind of flat. Kick could be deeper. Dont get me wrong youve got the talent for this shizzle, but i mss deep sub, and more snap in he snare, i think its compressed too hard.
