Please check out my new track 'Ten Stomp (ragga Jungle)' and post your comments here!
Whipped this up in a few hours b/t yesterday & today. T-racks to master, ohmicide on the bass, everything else is FL Studio. Samples are all royalty free.
Been listening to tons of Visionary, Benny Page, old Alix Perez, Serial Killaz, etc.
Was gunning for that old dubplate kinda vibe.
All comments / criticisms accepted w/ open arms!!!
btw... any suggestions on a better name for this track?
Interesting tune. A bit aloof and 'distanced', if that's the right word. It does sound a lot like jungle -> dnb era, maybe 93`-96`.
The bass is typical jungle-like, but the melody is a bit off key with the vocals. Can be noticed at 02:46, for example. try changing some of the notes (some of the high ones, if you write them, I could point you to the exact ones that sound off to me).
It has a nice sound abound, but I don't like the snare that much. Not snappy enough anyways. But it works. It's a matter of taste, of course. Maybe force the kick a bit more, it is a bit quiet.
All in all, a good tune. Keep on!

ez m8,
"spoken word" as a title would work quite nicley
snare seems like its a bit heavy weight compared to the nice kick you got going on, loving the ragga vibe tho almost makes me reeeeeaaaaccccch for me rizla boh(and stuff)

i like that "distanced" term. Its supposed to have that kinda old, kinda early dub sound.

yea, i went back & forth with that one- its def noticeable at that point. I just changed it up and it sounds much better.
Thanks for input. I'll toss up a link to the "finished" one.
now wheres my blunt?
really feeling this man!
feeling relax, might wanna turn that sub bit more down, pushes the kick a little but rest is dope
love it man good job!
well the snare is too high in comparison with the kick. is the kick supposed to distort when doin' the rollin' stuff?
the whole track is awesome. i is truly lovin it!
why not naming it "Killa" as i hear it's the predominant word in the song?
