Please check out my new track 'Low Down Dirty' and post your comments here!
okay, does this suck, or should i do somethin with it? what should i do with it? i wish i could finish a song and figure out how to structure something a bit more.
all sounds here made with thor, massive, and superwave performer.
thought i recognised it man its an awsome synth when used right that track will be sick when done if ur usin reason try stickin sum kicks and snare through scream distortion and set it to tape filter and mess around gives u wicked soundin drum 4 neuro funk jus an idea it has worked 4 me b4 nice track mate jus give it that little bit more and itll be sick
ez man, drums are sounding good so far i'd be tempted to bring them a tad forward in the mix as the synths and reece overpower it slightly. really like that thor bass.
i can't hear any proper sub coming thru apart from the low part of the reece, you coud either beef up the low end of ur reece or stick a clean sine wave underneath what u already got and eq it so it all sits together
a very promising start, got potential to be a real dirty tune! if ur unsure about structure just listen to some pro tunes that are in the same genre as ur trying to produce, dnb song structure tends to be pretty formulaic so that shouldn't be too difficult (intro > breakdown > drop > 2nd breakdown > 2nd drop > outro)
There is a lil bit comprssion problem, drums are "pumping" time to time, the techno-arp you use here is a bit too loud, no complains about the bass line, nice and dirty, it can be a really good tune if you spend time on the detailed mix, my advice : put he level of master bus down bellow zero, let say -3, turn off master compressor, try to set levels of all of the tracks that mix sounds clean and you can hear all elements decently, avoid clipping (more clipping - more work limiter and compressor have to do which end with pumping) then turn on master compressor and add a light compression dont over do it,
i hope that helps,
oh, and one more thing, don't get frustrated if your results are not instant or if your sound is not that as you planned yet, it will come, trust me ,you need to practice to master skils, so write write and again write the tunes,
big ups.
Dude tis does not suck. Drums sound sick. Im less enthusiastic about the arp however. Lower the volume on it, dont have it playin on 16ths but make a rhythmic pattern with it and filter it with a phaser filter. The Primary bass sounds pretty good but the bandstop filter is a tad phasey. increase reso maybe? and also it sounds a bit too detuned. getrid of some of that detune it'll reveal the griminess in the saw wave. automate lowpass and hipass too. And sidechain the bass with the kick n snare some more!
Beat isnt too bad from the off although that kick has too much low end tail on it imo. Will just muddle the low end up
Feels a bit bare on its own though.
Not too keen on the fast arpeggiated synth. Its too dry and a little too upfront in the mix if you ask me.
Sounds a little muddled when that second synth comes in. They are fighting for space in the mix.
Not enough low sub for me either im afraid.
Think you have some master compression issues too which is apparent as when you drop the low end elements @2.15 its seems to jump up in volume a little.
I lie the idea for the track but the execution has let it down a little.
Few corrective mix issues fixed and this could be pretty cool
A nice idea for a tune, loving the dark bassline. This tunes def got the potential to be a dark, dirty rave stomper. If you unhappy with parts of the tune, play around with it, but don’t give up on a tune coz it aint perfect first time round. The drums are sounding ok at the mo, maybe need sum more attention and fine tuning. The synth is to in your face, need the volume lowering or in need of more of a melody. Overall, the potential is great but it def need more work. Great idea tho.
Pretty cool ideas, the bassline is sweet although it could do with a sub rumbling away underneath it, I can't hear one at the moment! The drums are rolling nicely and cut though alright but they are just a tiny bit too quiet imo. The arpeggio works note wise but its a bit too loud and not really the most interesting of sounds, could be made a bit more interesting. Overall tho it's a cool start mate, finish it
