If you want banging low end response and have the cash then purchase yourself some Mackie HR824 MK1 or 2's
Brand new they cost arouns £1200 for a pair,
But i managed to pick up a secondhand pair from ebay for £750
Best £750 i have EVER spent lol
Team it with an MBox2 USB zero latency soundcard and your laughing =D
I haven't had any problem with them and my mixes and masters have sounded great on anything I have played them on. They have an amazing response which truly is flat. By listening to your favourite track you can hear how everything is given its own unique space. Nothing is fighting for the same space.
I have the high boost control on mine at +2, but that might just be because of the room I'm in. It's a massive hollow room (fun times).
I would recommend them any day. Specially for the price.
sorry to break it to you Oli- but your mids sound hollow as hell..
I listened on BeyerDT770PROs and my Yam monitors.. doesnt sound terrible, just not quite solid in all the right areas.
bass is ok, but mids are lost and the 'depth' of your mix needs lots of work mate.. keep plugging away dude and try and treat your room if its empty as its murdering your sound.
It means that there is an equal amount of Bass, mids and highs available.
This gives a neutral impression of the sound that comes out.
This is good for production as you can really hear what you are doing and not what your monitors are doing to the sound.
