So, I trid them both, Battery and HALion. And I like them both, but I have a problem with HALion.
I use Cubase SX 1.01 and HALion 2.02
I make a samplebank: Program 1: Bassline, Program 2: Kick, Program 3: Snare.
I make seperate midi tracks for all of them, and program them how I want. I select the right program for each midi track. When I play the sequence it sounds fine, for like 5 seconds, then the samples become messed around. HALion plays the bass instead of the kick, the kick instead of the snare... Only way of solving this is closing my project and reloading it, but I'm not planning on doing this every 5 seconds, so I'm looking for a solution.

i wish i could help you --- i too have had problems getting halion to work correctly with cubase...i can use battery fine, but it's just halion that doesn't work right...can't figure out why either....

Weird, since it's both from Steinberg, it should work very well together, no?
If you can tell me how I can play melodies with samples in Battery, that's fine for me too

Hi,
I'm working with cubase and the Halion to, and everything work's fine here, Have you checked in the device setup if your buffer sizes are big enough? If not, that might be the problem..
Hope you get it working, 'cause Halion is a cool and simple sampler, really nice working with!

Downloaded a newer version (had 2.0.2, have 2.0.3.5 now) and the problem seems to be solved
