Please check out my new track 'Frankenstein' and post your comments here!

Ok, dnb people. It's jumpup again Wink obviously. basic track put down, need to do some drum variations and maybe change up the bass after the breakdown? going to put some effects in but hey, let me know what you think so far if you get time. If not please just enjoy, thanks, Tuff.

Sounds hollow due to stereo tweakage and reverb (especially the vocal). The mid part of the basses sounds messed up too, did you cut off the hi-end with extreme EQing?
Maybe you should hi-pass that amen a bit so the mids of the basses get more room.
Would love to hear a better drumline than just an amen.
I can imagine that such low-res snares like the one you use in the intro are earkillers when played on a big system.
Has potential, needs work.

Easy Battle Drone! No seriously thanks for the advice, I thought my mastering was getting better tho... HHmmm, back to the drawing board. I think recently I have been listening to my own tracks too much and not hearing professionally produced drum n bass. I will take into concideration all the aspects you have pointed out and hopefully comeback with a better sounding track. Thanks for the advice, top class Wink

EDIT: Is my sub bass sounding any better BTW? That's what I've mainly been concentrating on, and yes I did drastically EQ out a lot of hi freq, your reviews are spot on! I've added that back in now. I'm going to work on adding a layer of drums to the track now and also some variation. The snare is BitCrushed, the bitcrush is faded onto the drum loop at the begining. Hhmmm, the vocal sample, I took it from an old film and the quality was rather poor, i'm gonna try and brush that up a bit now but do you have any advice for making it sound any better? thanks, Tuff.

Thanks. It really annoys me that I spend way too much time trying to get a good sound, but I just can't seem to get it down and sounding right. I think I might need to invest in a good set of monitors. I have Beyerdynamic DT990 pro headphones but they don't seem to have done me any good Confused hhmmm, i'm looking into monitors.

all right mate the tune over all is my kind of style that i like the bass is a bit to repetative tho and could do with a bit more growl imo just me tho sounds like there is a snare hit in there that has been a bit desroyed {u can hear it come in in the build up in intro} needs work but has potential some eqin issues that nedd to be adressed but only bit of tweakin with the high end keep it up Smile

right err let me see i'm pretty new to the whole forum thing not being harsh just honest the whole track is repetative which to a degree with jump up is expected but this is to much maybe chuck some more drum layers in. that snare sample is crushed to shit and needs some sortin out the amen loop is rinsed in this again with the layering would help.high end equalizing needs sortin . there is a potential jump up smasher here jus layer add variation and eq with fine tooth comb nice sub bass tho good logical progression and build up no issues there imo go to work on it would love to here it finished that vocal needs polishin as well by the way mate like i said not bein harsh jus honest .ezee
