Hey all,
I use FL STUDIO. Lets say I have a reece sample(for argument sake) I press a key and it plays the sample. What I want to be able to do is when I release the key it plays the sample backwards preferably from the point in the sample that the key is released but if not no probs. I got Kontakt 4 ect but if it can be done but with another sampler please say which one.
Could this also be done with a synth?
Cheers fellas Big Grin

You have to bounce the sample, reverse it manually and manually make it play when the original key is released.

That's what I been doing, but thought if I could "play" it, I could be a bit more creative. But thanks for the reply Big Grin
I'm sure I had a set up where on release you could set loop points and it would loop on release. Maybe not.

This is just a quick theory I cooked up in my head after seeing the post not but one minute ago ...

And I have no idea if it would work !!!! Shakeshark

Couldn't you draw in some automation for the device in question after the notes have been let go to change the play mode to reverse !?

Like I said I have no clue if it'd work and besides I don't use FL.

ez.

I am strongly in belief that you can't automate the 'normal/reverse' parameter (I believe because it requires some calculations to do so it can reverse the wave). Frown

I dunno MD ...
In Reason we have the nn-xt sampler that has various modes and it has one that plays forwards then backwards so I suppose if the sample was short enough and you use a large release then it would play forward and then reverse.

Maybe I'm just talking daft !!!! Tongue

But sod it !!! Shakeshark
