Will be starting with Cubase soon (bought me a small book about it, lame, but it helps Smile ) and I would like which softsampler you guys would advise. I hear a lot about Halion, but also about Battery. Or do you guys use yet another one?

halion is very intuitive. All possibilities are just two-clicks away. Battery is more like a very, very fine drumcomputer/sampler (cfr. the AKAI's mpc...-stuff), but i wouldn't totally recommend it for extensive, multi-usage sampling.
But still, both are toys for adults: so have them both... Big Grin

i use battery too but for drums only... you can do other stuff with it too, but too limited for that. It's just a great and flexible drumsampler...

Otherwise i use kontakt but that's just out of habit, i haven't ever tried out halion. Guess they'll both have their plus-sides
