Please check out my new track 'Chasing Thethe Tyrant' and post your comments here!
Hey all, finally done with my exams now (yay). Been listening to alot of filthcasts these 2 weeks, and thought the Current Value cast was AWESOME. Especially those 'keep-on-pounding' tunes that the DJ's here @ PRSPCT spin alot.
My first attempt at a real pounder here.
Try to enjoy it, hehe. Cheerz

Yeah mate that CV Filthcast is proper nasty.
I like what you have going so far, I think it would make for a nice dancefloor track but there isn't enough keeping it interesting for just listening to. Would sound great in a mix.
The FX sound nice and moody, drums are punchy as hell, I really can't complain about the mix. Sounds like there might be some really quiet kick rolls in the main drumline, you might want to bring the volume of those up a little?
All in all its not bad mate, you should keep pursuing this style and see where it takes you.

I really like this one, creates a kind of unsettling atmosphere...the way you've made the drums sounds really original i think especially at the first drop but i think you might want to try changing them up a bit throughout, perhaps add in some more conventional sounding drum parts, because although its catchy that high end (clicking?) part gets old pretty quick. The overall mix is brilliant though, everything is really well defined and all the sounds sit well together. Maybe try experiment with throwing in some more contrasting sounds in here and there, maybe even some form of a melody to hold interest.
Excellent start though just feels like it needs a little bit more development.

Ow fuck man your bloody sick. Thats fucking experimental and that snare gives me shivers. Not really current value yet but shit man those beats make me poop. I would tear down my system with that track. Well done. Nice fx. Just cut a little of the end of the snare, it will clear out the mix. I would say sent it to stakka & skynet, they would appreciate this shizzle.

FX have too much reverb on them, bass needs more power. Snare also sounds too reverbed.

Sounds good man but try sticking a sidechain on the kick and maybe the snare to overpower the hi-hats & bass, that will make it punch through nicely!
