ez matey, lovin the pigeon steppin as always
sweet minimal atmos from the get go, pads that come in are lush, sub is nice, clear and on point. great use of vocals as always
no critique man, u know what ur doing and i like this lots
Im sucker for the intro sounds thats like drops of water.. ah - hence the name. duh, real smart of me innit
I must say I expected a more solid break, the vibe is alright and the beat is nice but a more concrete kick snare operation would be loads better, that and the kick sounds a tad too loud
otherwise nice pad action, likin the minimal vibes
Its a cool track but i definitely wouldn't call it drum and bass. This is more breakz or chill out. The pad work and synths are great the slow decay works. the drums are too slow and repetitive but i guess its a different genre so what would i know. The female vox is cool but i don't know what its saying?
@cynik: i apreciate what your sayin but was trying to go for a lighter more experimental drum beat. as for the kick yes its far too loud. i should have checked before i uploaded really.
Really good tune for a rainy & foggy day like this. Good choice of sounds. Everything glues together while nothing disturbs the chilled atmosphere.
I like that your sub bass is more dominant than your kick and leads through the track. Though, your snare could be slightly more upfront I reckon (maybe layered with something hitting a bit deeper).
You could also go a tad more crazy with percussive sounds as there’s still some space in the mix for that.
ez m8e,
love this, fits perfectly with the uk weather at the mo,
v lush intro, jimmy's picked up on the slightly heavy kick
other than that,
sewpurrrr sexy steppy breaks.
