My first track was far worse Big Grin
Not much to say, keep trying, after a while you'll find stuff that fits together.
Biggest problem of the tune is that the pads and the bass don't fit, the structure is not totally there yet (although not that bad) and the melodies are a bit weird. EQing and compression seem to be ok.

For a first tune you can be very happy!

Synths are a bit bland. You are going to want to automate your sounds with filters and effects. The mix sounds surprisingly good for a first tune. The synth lines are pretty elemental. Drums are a good start. Play with the velocity on the constant hi-hat to give it more movement. Try to make a different synth line than the bass line exactly. This is definitly the working of a mind on a journey to being a great producer. My first tracks are also worse. Keep listening to A LOT of drum and bass and also read up on your stuff. Good stuff here in the forums so read it. Keep working and I'll be on the look out for the next tune.

Tx for the feedback so far guys, some usefull things in there...

I'm just starting on a new tune now, since I'm looking for a 'signature style' to start with. I'll keep all the things posted here in mind.

If there's more, be sure to let me know!

I have to be honest and say I'm not a fan of this track, but then again you should hear my first tracks they were far far worse! The drums sound like loops that have been copied and pasted ...[if you do that you have to switch em up and re arrange them]. 2.45-2.55 the drop sounds cool the samples work but i was disappointed to hear it drop back to where we were before. Keep trying mate best of luck.

I can hear you understand the structure of a typical DnB track. Experiment more with simple synthesizers with fluctuating low-pass filters and some distortion over them.

I get a lot of inspiration from listening and assessing DnB tunes in between music making session. Maybe you should try that.

Get better beat samples. There are lots of them available out there, if you keep looking for them.
