Please check out my new track 'Omnis-spellbound' and post your comments here!

I think I might have gone and done it...Basically got the final version of this track. Would like to get it mastered but we'll see. I think my skill has increased a lot since I first joined the site and its all to blame! I am really looking for feedback concerning the mix. Made fully in Reason 4. All synths are programmed in Thor. Thanks in advance!

The FX are really amazing on this track mate, I think that's one of its strongest points. Very good atmosphere. Sounds like a Tech Itch track almost. Really filthy roller!

No complaints on the mix from me mate. Drums sound clear throughout the whole track, bass is a bit quiet at some points I guess or its hard to discern what notes its playing. But I don't have the gear necessary to properly give an EQ analysis so I'll leave that up to the rest of Dotbe crew. Big Grin

Wicked stuff mate.

hello mate, great work on the crash fx type sounds in the intro, beat is a lot more polished compared to the last version u uploaded Bigup

neuro basses are yummy! lots of filthy movement in there. overall mix - sounds ok generally speaking somehow i reckon u could get a bit more power in there (purely because of the style ur makin imo otherwise everything is sitting where it should). out of curiosity - is the mid bass just one thor patch? sometimes it might be worth splitting it into a low and hi passed layer so its crystal clear accross the spectrum to really get that definition

overall wicked tune mate, as u said urself some serious progression since u first joined - big up!! Rinse

Gridlok/Hive style intro. Liking it. The intro beat sounds a bit muddy. Try to make it more clean. The breakdown brings some nice atmo. Nice drop. Defo Gridlok stuff man Big Grin 2min...nice beat change. Brings better rolling. Agree with Ketz about splitting the bass. It can do miracles. Yeah defo a good track mate. Good work. Mix sounds fine to me Smile

Great feedback so far...Yeah it is just so hard to mix in reason. I gotta rewire it out and get some plug ins. I am thinking about ableton live. I am going to get the mix as clean as I can in Reason then I think I am going to bounce out 4 tracks one for FX,Drums, Bass, and Midbass. Then mix them all again. Or I might just do that and then reimport them into reason for another treatment. That might work as well. I think its like 98% there and just needs that one more layer of processing to be perfect. The best thing is that now that I know the process and how to do it all which I learned from doing this track I can just start doing all the good shit right from when I start a track and I know this will make my mixes crystal clear. So do you guys like the musical ideas here? Does the track flow smoothly into each part? I really want to get some heavy feedback on this one so that the next can be a banger! Ohh I also did split the bass already. This track has 5 different synth mid basses running and a sub bass underneath. All the midbasses are Cut below 150 something hz. Kick is at 70-80 and the sub bass is dwelling below that. I havent really started messing with the high freq cause they dont sound like there competing for space. Thanks again mates!
