Wish I had done it ages ago. It seems to run less cpu intense than 3, but I did have that version on an external hard drive.
Thor is absolutely lush. So are some of the other combis included
I've only been using it about 30 minutes, but a new tune is falling into place nicely with my new toy.
I have a question. Is it worth installing the update? I've just downloaded it, then I read that you need to un-install Reason to do the updates...
The other thing I was wondering. Would anyone point me in the direction to some nice Reese combis or chuck me a few. I'm not after your sounds, it more to see how to get Thor really rolling. Honest!
I can see Reason 4 keeping me away from the welsh bar. They will probably send a search party out for me, even though they hate me because I'm English! Bloody money grabbing racist bastards..... Only jokin Tomos
Oh yeah! Another question or 2
How do you get the straight line editor instead of the pencil when doing automations? Also, how do you edit notes in the group blocks? If I try deleting notes, it deletes the block
just set it up in a combi n save that combi for ronski (later-on-ski that is).
peace n chips n that
Nice one mate. Just done that
Think my neighbours are gonna get pissed off soon
Can't believe how good the sound is out of Thor though
I managed to rewire it up to Reaper and use Ozone on the master. Sounded real nice. Some reason though, I can't get Reaper to render reason when its re-wired

Thats it for now, I'm gonna watch Family Guy
they hid the line
you get it while using the pencil and holding CTRL, the pencil should turn into a cross
you cant edit the notes in the arrange mode you gotta enter edit mode (the three stripes icon, first top left).
Nice one. Sussed out the grouped notes thing. Just got to double click on the block. I'm really happy that you can choose what colour to have the blocks. Vast improvement

It's all true.
Btw, stop pointing out all the great things about Reason. You're making me jealous.
I wish FL had something like Thor.

fellow propellor-heads - don't shoot me for saying this but FL allows u to use whatever VST u need, who needs Thor?!

I agree with this. I actually quite miss FM8 and Absynth 4. I thought they were fantastic. I'm hoping to create some sounds like they do with Thor. Anyway Fruity Loops is an amazing program. I would use it again, but Reason is more logical to me.
reason doesnt have vst support. but it counter balances by having stability issues second to none, I never had any corrupt files or crashes. try that with any other vst based daw

I can't remember the last time fl crashed, or corrupted a file, on me.
And, tbh, I'd imagine that if you were to only use the native synths and fx that came with most daws they'd be just as stable as reason.
DEFINITLY upgrade the program man. I worked on a tune for like 8 hours and went to go save it and Reason crashed! ON MY MAC! I know battledrone is going to have a hayday with this one. Anyways it was a glitch in the program and when I upgraded it hasn't done it since! So I recommend upgrading! PM me your e-mail and I'll send you some nasty thor patches I made.

Shit happens, even on a Mac. It's a bit naive to think that perfection exists in terms of Computer/OS/DAW. Is that hayday enough for ya?
