Shroombab
Known for spinning the freshest drum'n'bass with dancefloor- and jump-up orientated rhythms, wicked basslines and atmospheric breaks. She has established herself as one of Austria's most booked drum'n'bass djs, and founded High Tension Records. She's also produced tunes for Aphrodite's Urban Takeover [UK], label, and established Junglistic Sistaz [www.junglistic-sistaz.com].
Lady Lite
Belgium's only female ragga jungle DJ, and key member of Dedkob and Pussies Traxes. Previously she was running Illtown Records, and now organises parties with Dedkob including the forthcoming Soundclash @ Musiek-o-Droomwith Remarc. She regularly plays out all over Belgium, often alongside her MC, probably the best female MC in the country, MC Mary Jane. Dedkob website: www.dekob.com
Miss Elorak
This lady needs no introduction the Belgian scene, as she is one of Belgium's most established d&b DJs and founder of Pussies Traxes. Manager of Stress Da Bass records, Belgium's only specialist d&b record store, and now branching out into record distribution, she has her finger on the pulse of the scene. Lotus
A party-organiser for more than 7 years, she is now part of Hydra and promotes Next Level and Caliente. With roots in classical music, she decided her heart lay with electronic and Indian music, so she started off singing/MCing with Saiko [Hydra], and now plays out regularly with Miss Elorak. Kay
One of Pussies Traxes founders, Kay has been DJing, producing and organised parties for very many years, and has appeared at big events like the Dours Festival alongside co-producer Nitrox [Renegade Hardware]. She has a unique style of DJing, dropping many of her own productions on dubplate during her sets.
Miss Ailya
Newcomer to the scene, Miss Aliya is part of the Xsound crew, and one of their resident DJs. She organises regular parties in and around Brussels including Enfo's and Xsound, some in association with Bobby Skywalkerz. For more info, check out the Xsound website at www.xsoundnb.com
