hey
havn't been on here in a while as i've been producing alot of dubstep recently, but i thought i'd dust off my drum and bass hat and make something new..
made entirely in cubase using native instruments plug ins.
this is where i've got this afternoon so any constructive criticism would be great
nice tune . ok id say at 00:44 you should bring in one more drumline with that sub
kinda leaves you hanging sound good just sounds like something is missing switch up the kick pattern every now and then mabey a extra kick you onley drop sometimes the tune sounds good just is lacking in the drum side of it to much on repeat and snare is to old school jungle sounds like a dinky break witch it nice just more of a filler than a main drumline play around abit adding and trying diff stuff i sure it would come around bring the hi hats up a lil to grab the ear. i realy like the half time break down you should add to that give it more life congas something like that mabey. also the mib bass grimy sound is nice brind it out abit should be more twords a lead in some points of the tune also fuck with it id say make it a bit more dirty and neuro im realy diging this tune sounds like you could realy do some great things to it good deep rolling feel to it just needs more to it

safe mate-nice eerie atmos in the intro-like it wen sub an xtra hi synth cum in-sounds wiked!fink u shud use that delayed hi-synth at places in main tune aswell.not much of a build-up but i do like the way it drops.eq'in wise everyfin sounds pretty ok 2 me-jus out of personal taste tho wud beef up ur drumz n defintly add sum more hi layers n movement.bass soundin pretty fat.nice edits on various things thruout-defintly prefer the second drop bass to the 1st.not bad 4 an afternoons work at all mate-wud phatten the drumz up n fink u got a nice tune on ur hands
This tracks has a really nice mellow vibe to it and the sound choice is good except for that whole note bass sound. It needs more movement and some more FX's on it. Try to split the audio signal into two parts one for the mid range sound and another for just the sub bass. Then effect the mid range and get it sounding really crisp and liquid! This track is good and has some real potential! Keep working hard at it cause its already sounding good!
Ok the tune rolls, but the bass is something flat, anyway it's cool in his "flatness", try to add some mid freq to the mix or just use a more "snapping" snare.
nice intro mate, good use of sounds and leads to a nice smooth bass drop imo. the track is kept going by subtle changes, if anything id try to introduce some harsher mid range sounds to push it a little more. otherwise i enjoy it, nice one
Dig that snare, has some nice heavieness to it. The kick can use a little more wieght/power. The bass is decent. If you give it another high layer it will sounds a little better, or eq a little more highs into the top end. Cheers. Z
nice intro, like the bass that comes in. the song has a very low sound to it which is cool, but it doesn't sound full if you know what i mean. I like what you've done with the drums so far, however they also feel empty, and repetitive...
