hi, looking at buying some new monitors this weekend, and i am torn between mackie hr's and yamahs hs's. Could anybody give me some help. cheers!

yeh i will do mate, going on sat, rang them today and they got a demo room 
, just wondered if anyone has had any experience with both of them or new anything better about one or the other or anything to look out for really before i have a look and listen to them both.

i got hs 80 m8, very happy with them.
(but if i held out a few more months i couldve got the mackie's)

if the mackies where at the same budget level as i brought the yams,
then yes m8 i think i would of,
but iv never seen brand spanking new mackie hr for £330 with cables thrown in.
plus im not in the habbit of buying 2nd hand gear.
(mind you saying that i am getting a pair of original yam ns's in the padded cell i call home)

you never know you might find something else you like the sound of.

got the mackies :-) also ended up getting an m box 2 well pleased with them. roll on new computer :-) shame i got a bit of saving to go :-(
