Please check out my new track 'Hardware' and post your comments here!

This is my first attempt at making a track with my new Access Virus TI. All synth sounds are mine - no presets. Drums are completely programmed - no loops. Shame it's an mp3 because you lose a lot of quality, but you're all welcome to pick it to bits and give your criticism.

haha thank you. As far as being loaded or working like a mule - let me assure you, it's been a dream of mine to own one for about 6 years! I saved and saved and saved, and FINALLY got one! it's everything I ever dreamt it to be too. Smile I agree with your comments and I have spent a bit of time last nite tidying it up since I uploaded it.. especially the hats. I agree on the 6 minutes bit.. I might chop some of the repetitions of the grimey drop bass - should end up about 4 min 30 then. Thank you very much for the reviews guys! Smile

I really like this tune. Especially the dirtiness of the main lead sound and some of the pitch bend stuff/effects going on at the end of certain bars. I think it needs more careful mastering and the snare could do with a bit more punch. Also the percussion could be spiced up a bit to give it more of a rolling groove. Otherwise though, one of the better tunes I have rated on this site so far.

Wow nice synth sounds.

This track intro really mind me of a Cult song, not saying its a rip off Happy

One thing I have noticed is that the guitar synth sounds like it is being played live. It seems to go out of sync every now and then...

Your drums have to much mid and high end going on. The kick needs more power to it.

Right then, I can't see this being a dnb classic, but I can see this appealing to some goths. It needs some more going on in the track than just some metal guitar riff. There are some nice idea though.

Thanks Happy

We have had the TI for 3yrs +. The synth you made is nice thought you can do a lot more with it since you have a TI. Once you become familiar with the LFO and filters, esp Filter #1. Record amd Loop your synth over and over and play with the filter knobs. Wish I could show you in person, but I am sure you will get it. Congrats on your TI purchase. Cheers brutha. Z

Thanks for that.. great to see another TI owner here Smile Very nice machine. I've had a great time with LFO-2, and I haven't really spent much time on LFO 1although you might notice in the grimy drop that theres reso and filt gain (which are on LFO 1)... they rock. THe hoover sound plays off pulsewidth on LFO 1 too, but it's too short a sound in this track to notice the LFO on it Smile thank you for your comments!

I think the kick drum needs to be eq'ed a bit - it's a little overpowering. Other than that I like the sound of this tune - I would add more of the melody of the intro in to the second drop - or both - I think it would add a lot more fun to the tune.

its a good tune but its like listening to the same thing to much i think you need to kinda switch it up more eqing and all that sounds good just track gets boring after a min or so i would just put in a lil work to progreshion and drum editing breaks ect .

good stuff though

i like the ideas in this tune and the synths sound nice (bloody should aswell considering your lucky enough to own a virus) got some good ideas it sounds quite minimal and if your gonna keep it this way id recomend some sort of pad with some nice fx on to fill up the space a bit as it sounds quite sparse. the drums need fattening up too as they sound a little thin. i like the little 4/4 bline thing you got goin on. i reckon also that the tune could benefit from more progression. at times its a little repetetive. all in all though top marks for makin everything your self. keep at it could be a great tune
