Please check out my new track 'Terminate Rmx (original By FBD Project)' and post your comments here!

This is a track that I started last week, a remix of FBD Project - Terminate.

I am actually really happy with the outcome of this track. Happy

I took the samples from an mp3 of the track and overlaid them over a track I started (that I uploaded on here) about 2 months back. The track came together rather fast and easily. I have spent about 12 hours putting it together.

I have contacted one of the members from FBD Project trying to seek permission to put this up on youtube. I havn't heard back yet, but I only tried contacting 2 days ago. If they contact me, saying that it is a problem, I will have this track pulled from this site as well.

I am putting this track down as finished, because, apart from some sound issues (mastering) I don't intend doing any alteration... Unless they contact me saying they don't like it, then I will stick some other samples in Happy

Some of the sounds where nicked from FBD Project (synth, vocal, horn, weird noise) Rest are my own from Reason. Drum are well, drums mashed up in reason. Happy

Here is the original from 1993

Some nice ideas here. I like the string sample and the host of weird noises playing out in the background. The kick has a really nice punch to it. You say that you view the tune as finished apart from a bit of mastering. May I suggest that the volume of the main sub/bass is lowered a little in the mix. The string sample could also do with a bit more reverb on it. Also, the string sample itself and the choir sample sound a bit cheap and flat. Maybe have a fiddle with them to see if you can make them slightly wider. One way of doing this is to add another instrument playing the same notes but an octave lower and at half the volume, also perhaps with some EQ taken out

Thanks you lot Happy

I actually quite like the strings, but I do know what you mean. The sound was the same sample used in the original, so it probably from a dodgy synth back then.

As usual, I have updated this track, so this isn't the final version Huh

I won't bother uploading it here, but I will probably put it on Youtube or Soundcloud soonish.

The new mix incorperates the bridge into the last half of the second bit instead of the strings.

I have also reduced the volume of the bass. I was going to include a reese, but it makes the track sound to cluttered.

Thanks again. Will get to your tracks soon, but got a horrilbe cold, so going back to bed! Frown

Interesting scores on this track. I know who gave me 2 all the way through Big Grin I've heard your myspace already and those tracks are pretty poor, I might pay 'extra attention' when scoring your track now its on here. Huh

Like the intro. The strigs might sound a little better if some of the alternating notes are longer or slightly changed. Bass sounds good. Like the drumz, nice and crisp and full.

hi bruce

Its been a while since my last comment, been busy with work and all...sounding dark and effects are good but since im more of a liquid fan, cant say im overly thrilled listening to this...jeah the mastering as u said could use some tuning Big Grin ...the main bass is really roomy and crowds most of everything imo...as far as effects go, nice!

Well cant think of anything else to add...

i like the tune has the dirty drum style sounds good i dont really have any thing bad to say just sounds like it could open up abit more one thing a say is exrta drumbreaks and lil extra drumlines are all ways welcome to an extent sound like there was a bit or room to add and not take away from the sound you got there. the pad or high synth you got there sounds like you could give it a pitch shift here and there. i love the driving force the tune has to it drop a deep ass sub in there and and run thor synth make a sub on there and tempo sync lfo1 to how you like and in the root box1 select lfo1 take amount up and root area next to it select frequeney 1 amount up and you will get that dark roll you can realy get down on that. i love hard dnb thats my sound so i realy think thats a good tune

good work man i like to check out some other tunes u got .

Red Face im impressed. Intro sounded a bit average to me, but once the tune dropped I was amazed. I can't give much feedback on this one because it already sounds pretty 'complete' to me now. You can add some more variation maybe, but thats just a matter of taste I guess Smile . And yeah the strings sound a little bit thin imo, but thats FBD projects' fault hehehe Big Grin .
The sample playing from 1.59 doenst really fit in untill the drums come back in.I hope you get their permission to post this, It would be a shame if it has to be removed Frown .
