hi, drums and basses! Drummer

im running this bassline having a "low d" and a "high d". and of course, the "high d" sounds louder...

which adjusting knobs on the m-class compressor do i have to turn to make them both sound even??? Confused Confused Confused

what do you mean like low D high D ???? some standard in compresing is 6 db max.... for no destruction melodicity of track

I suppose youre speaking about different octaves? bass samples sound louder when played higher

knock up the input gain and if needed turn down the out gain

but theres a much better way of sorting your issue, tie velocity setting with volume on the device youre using and then add/subtract velocity in the sequencer. after a quick fiddle you should be able to balance the bass hits

yes, im talking about the notes.

what exactly does this mean? sorry for being slow sometimes.
im using the malström for this.

on the attached pic - the red marker is the velocity settings on teh malstrom. the blue mark is the velocity setting in the sequencer. notes are D3 and D4 - numbers correspond ot the octaves. as you can see the "high D" is having its velocity cut in half thus playing at lower volume than the "low D"
