Our main guest this time goes by the name of Equinox. People who've been attending the Bambu parties injecting Antwerp with a much welcomed dose of jungle a couple of years ago, may remember Equinox raising the roof with his unprecedented mix of razorsharp beats and dubstyle bass. Whenever we get the chance Ruffskool likes to have the oldskool represented by artists that were there when it all happened. Equinox got his break in the early nineties, at the age of 15, when he met the legendary Bizzy B and started working with him on proto-jungle label Brain Records. After also releasing on labels like Kicking Records he ventured into other fields, exploring house and garage, before returning back to drum'n'bass many years later with releases on Bassbin, Inperspective, Planet Mu and Metalheadz. Together with Breakage Equinox has set up a label called Scientific Wax to put out more music they believe in. Equinox is also running the most popular show on 24/7 worldwide jungle radio Jungletrain every other sunday from 19h to 21h (followed by Ruffskool Radio from 21h to 23h). In the other corner we have, ladies and gentleman, heavyweight champions of Rave, from the city of Hasselt... Rave Our Souls! This duo have been taking Belgium by storm with their explosive combo of the biggest rave classics and hilarious showmanship. All summer festivals big and small have had them leaving the dancefloor in complete euphoria. Shock & awe tactics can indeed be a saviour when these two lunatics hit you with it. Be warned and be prepared for an energy uproar unlike any before at ruffskool.
Our last guest on the decks is a Belgian jungle dj we have had on our wishlist for quite a while now. N-Flow is widely regarded as one of the prime Belgian jungle dj's and a true encyclopedia of jungle music. No doubt he will rock the Ruffskool just the way we like it, with a vibrant jungle story full of funky breakbeats and quality tunes you may have never heard out before.
But we don's stop here. For the first time at Ruffskool we have an emcee hosting the night. An extremely positive personality on the mic, with a voice that will make a big impression on everyone in the dance. We've experienced his sparse and on point rhymes countless times in Amsterdam at IchiOne. One of the best emcees of the Netherlands, MC Quest One will put a smile on your face and lift the vibe to maximum heights.
