Please check out my new track 'Dark Matter' and post your comments here!
Hi everyone. This is excerpt of the remix of my last track. This version is a lot darker. I will upload the full version soon.
The squelchy bass, I am a bit unsure about. Not so much about the sound, more the time sig on it...
I have made the track a lot less mono, I would be interested in your comments about that.
The samples are the ones I produced for the competition last month.
The track was done with Reason 3 and mastered using Ozone in Reaper.
Thanks to everyone who review my last version I think I reviewed all your tracks back, let me know if I missed any

Don't be afraid of an experiment, it is doing things like using a different time signature that gets you up there with the top composers.
The stereo on the drums is too extreme, it sounds unnatural, drums are placed in the centre of the stage) everything is more or less comming from the middle, you could add a tad stereo to them , but not this much.
Love the dark feel to this track, it has a very clear hook (2 drumhits), pads and bass work great.
If you ever want to get signed, you need a track like this one, where you prove that you can do something special, not just a "hey guys, I sound just like Noisia, do you sign me now" try.

Super tune mate. The only thing that really needs changing is the panning on the beats, like Battle mentioned. I'm listening to this on headphones and it sounds quiet strange tbh, beats never normally move around that much. Other than that, I really wouldn't change too much. Looking forward to the final version mate.

Very nice intro, has a lot of energy in it that keeps me stoked for the drop. Very nice use of FX, sounds very professional.
The drop is nice but the snare is really quiet and those hats sound a tad bit too loud. The individual parts like the drums, bass, FX could probably be seperated out a little bit more with some fine EQing; it's not to say the mixdown isn't good, it just seems like there isn't much space for the instruments to breathe. That's probably Ozone's fault though, I use it too and sometimes that thing squeezes the fuck out of the headroom of any mix..
A lot going on in this track, has a very dark atmosphere. I really like it mate! Simple melodies, but wicked tune.
As far as the stereo, I would say it works well for the intro, but imho (
) the kick, snare and bass need to be centered and prominent for the drop because this is what people want to hear when they're at a club.
Not so important if the tune is just for listening, but I feel it necessary to mention - about any tune really.
Really nice job on the track mate, keep 'em comin'!

Thanks you lot. Was a bit unsure about the drums. I was thinking about it as if I was playing the drums and where they would be around me. I do totally understand what you are saying though
I am pissed at the moment, so won't say much more
, not that I have anything nasty to say to any of you.
@ Battledrone. Like your comments about being signed. Personally, this is just for fun. I don't dj now days and that is where the money is now. I do take it as a compliment though. I hope to create a song worthy for release, but that is just for personal gratification, not the big time. As I said, it's all about fun
Thanks every one again. Look forward to reviewing ya tracks.

Hi bruci,
very clean sound, dark, reminds me of early stakka & skynet works, those nasty oldy clean drums style
great mix
snare could be a little more mid for me, very good vibe rally dark.
Nice man
pads are also clean and tight,
you made them with thor or subtractor?

It’s been a while since I listened to a tune from you. And all I can really add is that I’m surprised in a positive way concerning sound quality. I think you made a good step forward.
Refreshing sounds, keep it up!

Thanks again everyone.
The pad was done with the light green synth in reason
can't remember the name!
All sounds are from the sample pack I made for the Brucicomp competition which Tomos won.
Nick ZZ - Thanks for the comment on my FBD Project remix
