Hey .be! After a long producer's break from DnB I'm making a comeback (or at least trying to). Some good vibes from this track, and more than a little funk
Hope you guys enjoy it.

I've played this a couple times now, really enjoying this track man. The very first part of the song when it just has the hats and the bell and the shuffle sounds a little bare, unnaturally so, but right after that it sounds a lot better, proper intro sounds. The buildup isn't as powerful as it could be, but I think all the elements really blend well and mesh. Very nice choices of sounds.
Kick drum sounds like it's missing something imho. The rest of the drums sound great, I think having a fatter kick would really make the track a lot more energetic.
Thanks man. I totally agree w/ you on the kick part... needs to be much fatter. Too lazy to change. Will do later
As for the intro: I agree as well, but my friend was complaining to me about the old intro which was more melodic and involved some tempo changes... he said he couldn't mix it easily. So viola, mixable intro. I'm sure i could do better but eh. Who cares. I'll change it eventually man. Thanks for the input!

The problem making dance music for the club is that you have to make it "DJ-able" so to speak, and all the weird time signatures and tempo changes we have all wanted to do are never acceptable for the club.
So I say, fuck DJs (even though I do like DJing
), make songs you like and have fun, be creative. Start writing stuff in 4/4 and stop changing BPMs in the song when you start sending tunes off to labels.
likin ur drumz in intro-snares nice-already mentioned but thers no kik really-really needs boostin-wud probly even jus chang the kik hit n eq it accordingly.not reaally my kinda tune but it is quite a lively summer vibe goin on so fair play cus thats obv wot uv gone for.like the other reveiw sed tho if u r serious about makin tracks u cant be switchin up thwe tempo thruout a track like that.i wud suggest if u wana effect the tune in that way u shud jus do half the amount of drum hits/melody notes/bass notes n spread them out so u get the desired effect but if a dj was mixin it its always guna b in time still.an exampl of wot i mean is in the intro of a trak i posted on here called 'once ther was a time' i aint no pro but u shud get the jist of wot i mean.safe

Fresh liquid sound! Like it.
Drums should be more in front (after all it is Dnb).
The mid bass could do with some low end and it sounds a bit distorted/overdriven right now.
Needs some vocal bits and some more variations to keep things interesting. 7:18 is a very long long time. Great piano part, you seem to know what you are doing.

Really nice liquid vibe going on on this one!
I like the bassline but think it could sound a little more bouncy in the top end. Maybe this could be achieved with a bit of a boost using an EQ? That's being very picky though as it works well already.
Also regarding the bass, I'd be interested to hear what it would sound like if there was a change brought into the main bass riff, maybe for the second drop or 32 bars after the first drop.
I like the ends of the loops where the kicks have been used for a build up. I also really like the main drum loop with the exception of the first 32 bars, which are a little boring.
I like the first drop, especially the interesting stuff that's happening around the funky synth/keyboard riff. I assume there is some automation involved as well as some creative work on the piano roll! However it's achieved, keep it up!
@ Anarky: I agree with you on all points there. I did do a bit of hiphop half time in there
The kick still needs to be changed.
@ BD: The drums should be bumped a bit in the mix. I'm happy with them overall (except for the kick) but they just need to be a bit louder. As for the bass being overdriven... the bass itself is just a layer of a sine sub in 3xosc, a saw-y reesey noise in 3xosc, and an organ patch from Nexus. I haven't distorted it at all, and I've EQ'd the track pretty nicely IMO so I don't hear the distortion.. maybe that's what you hear in the detuned reesey bass? Anyway I'll look into it.. I really should go in and make a few fixes here and there.
@ GuyH: Thanks man. I'll add some more highs into the bass, it sounds like a good idea. I should also do some variations on it because the track itself is a bit repetitive and maybe switching up the bass a bit will help. There was quite a bit of tricky work on the piano roll! Especially programming a decent solo by hand on a computer... whew.
Anyway guys thanks for the concrit. I'll go through the song in FL and do some changes accordingly.
PS: Do you think its okay for me to upload another tune? Or should I wait longer than a day
Oot!!

great intro. im rele feeling that electric piano or watever it is. very nice, the kick has too much high end in my opinion. rele nice melodies. very uplifting.
oi oi! don't i know u from somewhere?
funky number u got here mate, got a real uplifting feel to it. melodies n arrangement sounding really good, i'd be tempted to bring the beat forward a bit more as the stabs and synths are overpowering (slightly)
part from that good job here bro - nice to see u makin a comeback to dnb - more pleeeeease!
