Hi people
Does anyone have or know where i can get a guide to EQing each part of a tune? i know that kicks should peak at 100 and snares sound nice at 200 but what about the bass, in particular where should the sub sit to give maximum effect without interfering with the other instruments?
Thanks

use lots of notches, covering a small range of frequencies. For example make a notch from 175hz to 200hz, the result is massive compared to the traditional peaking over big range you get into when opening your first equalizer...
