Here is another Origin Unknown track for you. This is the re-remix. I prefer it to the normal remix. Just seems darker
Still got my copy, but sadly, it has seen a lot better days.
Halph price, not sure if the scene has improved, just become more accessable to produce. Personally, I prefered the rawness back then. Also, the scene was a lot more experimental, where as today dnb is predominantly influenced by older dnb tracks instead of funk, jazz, soul, hardcore, reggae, acid, hip hop and whatever else could be ripped off!
Talking about influences, but more rip offs
, can you name which jungle tracks nicked these samples?
I was really gutted about the artists to tell the truth when I found out about these tracks.
That last one was a real supprise. The dnb legend should really of just said it was a straight remix instead of relabeling it.

Needless to say I love these tunes (Like Origin Unknown and other massive plates from that era) but I'll say it anyway; "I love these tunes"
.
I try to at least add some elements in my tunes that refer to that style/period. To me that was the period that truly defined DnB, all the rest were just more or less copies, imitations, diversions,...
