i don't use this software, but i was thinking:
if you create 1 hitpoint (your looplength), and then press "reverse"?

oh yeah! the REVERSE button, ofcourse, why didnt I remember that?
maybe cos there is no reverse button

it can be done though you need cubase
import the midi file into cubase and highlight select process/ reverse
then extract midi and load it into reason.....................................
but .................................its.......................................

ive got a simpler way ... use an nnxt , load a ur rex sample into the top patch loader ... then highlight all the rex beat layers in main blue display then u will see .. just under the display SAMPLE START and a "FW" knob ... turn the "FW" till it says "BW" which means backwards , this will do what u want .... hope this helps , ive just tryed it , no probs .. works better with smaller rex files ..

combination of the two techniques then or.....
bounce the file down playin forwards and put in the nnxt reverse and wala
