I was wondering if when you load a project in, does reason load the combinator in from your folder or does it make the combinator up from the Reason file?

I'm asking because, some of my old Combi files, I wish to modify and I don't want old projects not working because of these modifications. I know I could just re-save the combi under another name, but I don't want hundreds of unused files sitting in my combi folder.

Thanks Happy

Im pretty sure the old project files will remember how they are in the session.

If you wish to modify old combi patches why not just save them with a different name?

I know you don't want hundreds of files unused, but combi patches (unless they have wav files in) are usually tiny. They don't take up much space.

And with HDs space so cheap these days it can't be that much of a problem surely?

yeah I know that but if you save a combi patch by itself (.cmb) no wav is included. I dont load them out of tunes themselves, that would require loading up tunes for every combinator... which is a bit long winded

wait. you said if a song is self-contained at first, THEN combis get saved with the sample inside? that one I didnt try
