Vocal is repeated too often.
Track clearly clips in the loudest parts (with a lot of snare action).
Good stuff though.

love the intro mate, scary stuff, drop is dark as fuck, what a mental tune, bit too hectic for my tastes but sound awesome. the drum programming is pretty impressive, could use a bit heavier bass IMO. NAsty shit though, good work

damn, bloody loud mix...what did you do with the master channel man? There is some serious clipping going on. Very sharp on the high end. Interesting beat programming. Bass is a bit unclear and muddy. Needs work...

Nice intro, luv the vocals, tho a bit repeating.
Just the right type of music I love to listen on short terms - hectic and energetic, something like Evol Intent.

Can't really hear the track on headphones now, maybe the snare is too loud a bit. The bass needs a bit of low end boost on times, or is too covered by the beat.

Anyways, good dark track.

thanks for the reactions:

the thing i read the most is the clipping , thats because of my mastering i guess , but also my setup , for me the track is sounding like it should sound on my monitors :s

i know when i compare it with current value , his track sounds way different and like in an other angle (strange to say) and more polished , but therefor im not in a pro studio but in my bedroom , i dont use headphones (sometimes) but focus on what i hear in my room ... :s

so maybe i should do my setup a bit different so all the sounds come better to me ?

maybe when u would hear the track with less mastering it would sound ok for you (just not mastered then) ?

best thing for me would be , if i could master my tracks somewhere in a decent studio , or let it master by an other person in a studio

maybe i compressed my track too much ? or bad eq + compression ? realy , its not because i cant eq or master , i know what im doing here in my room Smile , its just my roomsetup that makes me EQ/Master my music in a bad way (i guess)

when i listen again to the track right now , i hear it like a normal track , just a bit too much squeezed , maybe some more sub needed and less compression

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

the vocal is russian , taken from the movie : rock'n'rolla , its a rich russian who talks about a girl who betray him and that he is still the boss , blabla something like that

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

how do u guys do your setup in order to let it sound how it should sound ? where should i pay attention on when placing my monitors in my room (distance , arrowed too) and what about my room:

2metres is pretty far in a room that has not been acoustically treated.

You going to be getting loads of reflections off the walls which will cause colouration and comb filtering in your sweet spot. It will be even more coloured by the fact your set up is not very symmetrical either.

If possible I'd half that distance to 1 metre. That way you'll get much more direct sound from your monitors therefore you'll achieve much tighter mixes. Also as a plus side you wont need to turn it up as loud! Big Grin

You'll also be able to hear all the smaller details too like reverbs and delays.

yeah its not 2meters , maybe 1,5 , but for me this had the best bass response that i needed (tested with different tracks from different artists)

but yeah im here in a spot that reflects alot of sound , so that may overlap and colour the overall :s

i produce very loud too Big Grin

I'm gonna try to re-arange it in another spot , maybe with my monitors arrowed to my curtains so i wont have reflections..

thanks Jimmy Beer

No worries Big Grin

Having your back to the curtains would more than likely help out the situation.
Will make it all that more symmetrical too which should help.

Don't produce so loud all the time either.

Always check what the mix sounds like real quiet as if you can make a track sound strong and punchy when its quiet it'll sound massive when you turn it up.

yeah true , thats why i mostly have to do extra effort on :

- clearness
- punchyness
- extra low end (for my tracks)
- extra high end (for my tracks)

to let it sound good on quiet

but i realy dont like headphones , and if i use em its to check if it still sounds in the boundaries

but when i master with headphones and check the result , it sounds too polished

my headphones arent the best too , though they are decent : Sony MDR-V600 Dynamic Stereo

and darkstep requiers alot of compressing too , deffo the new age stuff , compared to liquid , in fact you cant compare the masters of 2 different dnb genres , its too different.

Ghost is right. Try working the end master on headphones, and then compare on monitors and some other speakers that are generally hi-fi (like, from the home cinema, in your car, etc.).

You can rearrange your room furniture to help you kill the feedback/reflections you get from your walls/room. Try using soft furniture (sofa, couch, etc.) and put them strategically around places.
Never put your subwoofer near the angle of the room or in some closed compartment - it will resonate much more than it should, giving you more bass than you really have in your track.

Anyways, if you're up for mastering, me and Ghost can help Bigup Free Mastering Service
