Not too bad actually for a jazzstep tune. Starts off pretty slow but builds up nicely. Melodies are a bit weird - which is normal for jazz. Beats are good but they are too far in the background I reckon. They sound a bit thin as well. How about putting a little bit of compression on them to make them sound bigger and fuller. Try using Maximus, if you have it. I think this tune could benefit from some pads too. It does have a tendency to sound a bit empty at times. Still a pretty nice tune tho.

Good stuff... you really surprised me.
Bass @2:04 doesn't work for me, maybe 1 octave lower. Drums in the middle part aren't punchy enough.
Overall very good track!

melody sounds a bit wierd and off-key, doesn't fut right imo....drums are a bit flat, dont really pump enough and sound a little in the background...defo needs a bigger kick and bigger snare and more mid-range to get give em some energy....nice vibe throughout but not much variation to it, sounds a little empty at points...not bad tho.

some weirdness about some of the piano hits in the intro

the beats and bass that enter are too soft...

bass later on is too loud. beats are too much highend and no thud

not feeling this sorry, not sure where its headed, it just loops over

cool intro, quite a strange out there vibe u created, definately original Big Grin

structure wise its hard to keep the listener interested as it does take a while for all the elements to come in, something more "conventional" could help build the anticipation a bit more, 3:30 onwards would make a nice drop, shame u left it so late in the track

all that said, nice original pice here, still feelin it nonetheless! Bigup

Interesting sounds, tho, if you really want this to sound jazzy, you should add more variations in that melody. What's that, a piano or? Sounds like piano through a pipe Big Grin

The tune has nice flow, but I think it lacks some background sounds/chords/noises. Try adding some strings or saxophone/trumpets.

I'd say 7/10

never heard of jazz step, but it sounds cool. That beep boop beep sound is a little loud and annoying in the mix. I got bored before the drop. Need to have something going on there. This tune although interesting doesn't keep my interest and idea is good but perhaps for just an intro or something.

Intro was alright but seemed to drag on a bit...not sure about that sort of "hovering" noise in the back either. Also think the drums need to be turned up a little - maybe layer another kick and snare over the present ones. Aside from that, loved the bassline. Good stuff Big Grin

First off, big ups!! Bigup

I'm writing a jazzstep tune at the moment as well, I was really pleasantly surprised to see your track on here. Sounds pretty cool, the intro really got me in the mood for a jazz vibe and I was really impressed with the jazzy sounds you made with the Sytrus.

I would boost the drums a little more, the hats are loud and the snare and kick aren't present in the mix. I realize that jazz doesn't have phenomenal percussion presence except for the hats, but I feel obliged to mention it since DnB is dance music and there's gotta be a little something to nod your head to. Wink

The drums around 3:30 just came in and they sound a lot better and present, I think they're great. But they come in a little too late. Bigup Maybe have more of those drums in the mix, that'd sort things out maybe.

I really like the melody, sounds ritzy and kinda catchy. Definitely not something you've heard anywhere else, I like that. Overall I am really impressed by your track, keep it up man, seeing your creativity within the genre is really inspiring. Big Grin

quite like the piano. has a nice sound.

Not so keen on that bass sound that comes in over the top, oh that gone now.

I can imagine that having nice fizzy drums for this style is quite important so you've done well there but they need more balls. BIt more depth to the kick and some more snap to the snare would be nice.

ok the beat has got a bit more heavy later on but its not exactly what i had in mind haha.

Sounds pretty cool though.
