Please check out my new track 'Robot Genocide' and post your comments here!

I sampled a reece from my microkorg to create the neuro bass for this. All in reason 4. I really like this track, but I think the mixing/mastering could be improved. What should I do?

ez there man, likin the trancey synth, cool sounds in the intro, neuro bass is wicked too Big Grin

really all i think thats missing is overall impact, snare is clearly audible (nice snap on it too) but needs more impact (maybe try getting a lower layer so it really punches), i'd also suggest u make the kick and sub heavier to give the mix more power

apart from that i'm really feelin all the elements u got going so far good work! Bigup

Very fresh sounds here, could do as dubby steppie intro, snare could use some more mid frequencies. Break sounds nice, noisia style, but less deep you need some more sub, there is sub, but the frequencie is too low. Composition is perfect

maybe a sub-bass type thing to bring out the low-end a little more?

also the build-up out of the break-down in the middle of the song could be a little stronger.

def a nice groove tho. track's got potential. nice.

starts with poppy drums, nice. nice sub. break down with fading in some drums, and the crunchy bassline. maybe at the drop, after you cut out the crunching bassline the first time, drop out the atmospheric synths a bit, just to let it breath more, as a mixing point of view. you can start it up half way through, helps give it more build.
you use it non-stop through the track.

then the track starts ova, should of had the sub in there sooner, no need to reintroduce, just make it switch up more. more variation. maybe even do a different bassline melody.

usually how it goes, nes' pa?

nice track.

as for mastering it seems good, as for the mix, it's fine, just put some more effort into the song, it'll be good.

Drop is sick! You crazy madman! I reckon it should drop straight in though the fade in on the drums sound old school and not in a good way. That reece is fucking sweet. Congrats. The leads feel out of place next to it though. Too clean, get distorting or filtering to grime them out!

Breaks are sweet, liking the half speed vibe breakdown. Well mixed on the main break, i can hear some wierd compression stuff but that might be the mp3 stream crapness. Creepy chord progression, I like it!

Could do with more bang on the drops. The reece has so much energy its almost criminal no to exaggerate it! Use a vox stab or something, or some crash cymbals. Get some risers in there so it sweeps like a mofo!

Really like the feel of the track, its creepy yet comforting in the breakdowns, but downright dirty in the drop Big Grin

It actually sounds like a robot genocide haha
