Alright... listening now... kinda diggin the intro vibes. Nice old school hoover action. Nice punchy drums but there could be a little more punch in the low end of the snare. The bass is way low in frequency so it should be louder. Around 1:30 that hoover-ish panny crazy shit comes in. Too crazy man. Maybe it could be used as an effect. This kind of ruins the track for me, too much happening at once. The song has a kind of crazy tune-less vibe that works well with some tracks but with this one but I think you should stick some kind of melodic element in there to keep the order. Not much else I can say about this track. I liked where it was going with the intro but then it got to crazy for my taste. Maybe someone out there loves this stuff! Keep doin what you do.

As long as this not just a bunch of loops being fired I can only say that Andy Moore has talent. Make him register & review some stuff on here.
Next the uploading can begin.
Like this style of classic jump up quite a lot.
Middoyn could be improved and mastering too, the low end is kinda thin right now.
Structure is a bit weird, it sounds like a mix of several tunes.

Really aprieciate your comments, and you didnt say it was s*%t so im more than happy.
I agree with you on the loudness of the bassline, i'd prefer it to be more prominent but i found if i added more FX/Volume it was kinda too loud compared to the rest of the track.
I agree there's a lot going on too, but i felt the lack of a really solid, melodic hook, i needed to keep the interest up. Im a real beginner, so to get any kind of groove or melody going is hard for me... at least untill i glue myself to my MIDI keyboard for a month lol.
One thing i do like though is the hoover sound. (thanks to Ogenic for digging out the VSTi 'Sylenth' for me) I know its kinda old now but i love it. I agree its a bit mad, but i didnt want it to sound too much like 'Dominator' by Human resource
Thanks again chaps, and any more comments from professional ears, good or bad would be welcome, cheers
I can definately say it not just random loops mate, lots of FL studio piano roll and beat slicing in Nuendo 3. One or Two of the beats are from sample cd's but chopped down and messed with to my liking.
As for the structure, i agree it sounds like more than one tune, but i felt it needed to change a lot. With my lack of production knowledge i didnt want the listener to fall asleep with boredom.... maybe thats counter productive, or maybe i should stick to just a few sounds but make them better.
As i say, im a real novice in DnB and music making in general, but im learning all the time. I think i'll get to the 'Mastering' chapter in a few years lol.
Thanks again for the comments, and i definately will start uploading/reviewing soon, cheers
hahaha my first tune was also named Sidewinder...although this is much better than my earlier attempts. Nice THX/Microkorg sample. def sounds like a nasty snake. Nice Mix bro and good drum programming.., the high end is a little crisp. Nice arrangement also. Were you using the microkorg? let me know if I recognize those samples correctly.

DnB relies heavily on simplicity as a tool for suspense and tension. The listener should be entranced with the subtleties of the production and yet a clear and un cluttered sound pallet that lets each sound sit in its simple and designated place. This is a very hard art to master and to know when to pull sounds out and tone some down. The brain likes to focus one just a few REALLY good sounding bits (eg. intro drums on Ed Rush & Optical's track Glass Eye) instead of numerous and cluttered sounds. Minimalism always wins against clutter.
Thanks Chronic for re-naming and cheers to everyone for the tips, very welcome indeed.
This is such a great site, so helpfull but no talking shite with it... sweeeet
@ Dethworm, if your talking about the hoover/dominator sound in the middle, that was the 'Sylenth' VSTi mate, most of the other sounds are one shots from various sample packs.
i love the hoovers man not heard any for a long time

Its defintely not your turtle shells mate
All levels are messy on this track..... i've got a lot to learn about mastering and FX.
Lets face it. Before i registered on here, i thought a 'SUB' was a sandwich!!!
Definatly got the raw dnb attitude nice drum edits keeps the drum line interesting.
not so sure about the sliding bass line from 1:20 onward sounds a bit too over the place.
whole mix sounds a bit flat sounds like the eq is missing a chunk in the high end
drums are definatly punching enough but they clip occasionally watch the volume/compression you have on them. they might be conflicting with the very low bass you have....
nice variation through out the track though it stays interesting.
nice job
