Mastering sounds pretty good. It's definitely got rythm. Drums are good and clean. I can't help but think that the intro sounds a little like the Qemists. Once it first drops it takes it a while to get good. Too long in my opinion. Overall amazing piece of work. Big Ups!

Nice track overall, love the drums particularly. I did find the time to the first drop a little long but nevertheless, nice work. It also an interesting take on your usual QC tracks (I personally think it should be a QC track, not UC).

Well done mate.

The sound quality isn’t bad, eq is good, no frequencies are interfering with each other as far as I can hear.
Though, there is an instant clipping what’s possibly caused by the very loud master. Turn it down a notch!

The overall sound is a bit too dry, harsh and digital for my linking. The sub is deffo present but it doesn’t feel very warm, just as the whole tune that lacks warmth. A harmonic exciter would work to compensate this.

I also think it might me a good idea to tweak your mastering compressor and use your reverb precisely in order to let all the elements glue together more.

Cheers!

Drummer

Nice track.

Not really a boring intro but could be a bit shorter.
As someone allready said, it does sound like its been driven a bit too much.

The mid bass that comes in around 2 mins is good but maybe it could do with being a bit lower in frequency or layered with another swooping kind of mid.

Overall good , nice one

A harmonic exciter basically adds harmonic to your mix, via slight distortion/ wave shaping or short delays.

This is way better then boosting certain frequencies with an equalizer because it will not just make for instance the high or low end louder, it will really add harmonics to the sound so that it sounds warmer and fuller. (tip: whenever I want some frequencies to be less present I use an eq, whenever I want to boost a very specific frequency range I use an eq, but whenever I want a bit more crisp in the highs I add harmonic exciting. Multiband compression is good for punchy lows btw).

I suggest using it as a multiband plug-in for precise use and control. All you’d have to do is adjust the bands and the amount of exciting that should be applied. Be careful not to overdo it, compare your mix to something commercial for the reality check.

Some people fancy this effect, some don’t. I myself think it works with quite a lot of different compositions when applied in a small amount.

What could be also helpful for your mix might be cutting the master eq in the 2000-3000 hz range. Just try if it sounds any good andlisten/mix at a higher volume for a short time to see if some sounds hurt the ear when turned up.

I was so focused on the sound review that I forgot to say something in general. I like the overall vibe and choice of sounds. Drums roll well and punch heavily, but could use some more cymbals or bongos to sound fuller. Structure works.

Hope I could help.

Cheers Gregg a big help.

I'll have to try and find one (Harmoinic Exciter) to play about with because I don't think reason has anything like this.

And thanks again to everyone for the feedback.

sounds well mixed and put together from the outset.....everythings nice and clear, great fx in the intro.....sub is too weak, doesn't get the low end pumping at all....drums are pumnhcy and work well....defo need more grit to the bass...not cutting througn enough....atmosherics and fx throughout are great.....think some of the drum edits are a little out of place too, dont really flow as well as they could....great sounding track overall, mix is really good....

Some bass-pad hits in the intro are clipping (crackling noise).

Like this intro, starts off nice n slow ready to catch u off guard. Which it definitely does and i like it. Everything sits nicely. However it does seem to lack that top speed, maybe due to lack of hats or high end, something like that. Dont know if that was just the build up but the last part of this tune has a lot more energy to it, but still doesnt feel like top gear. Its a highly creative track though, i can see that. Maybe try adding some more hats, some high end, or even an amen break over the top it with a little high pass.
