Propellerheads will soon release a new piece of DAW software. This one will have REAL DAW functionality (not my words, follow the link) and include the usage of VST's. Reason will continue to exist alongside this new DAW.

they have discovered that more and more people rewire reason, so they offer a perfect reason rewire host right from the maker with vst usage and live recording capatibilities. earlier, they said those two features will never be in reason.

that also goes in hand with their strategy up to now with reason: an all-in-one program.

I bet there will be a "value package" featuring both progs.

There is a video on youtube about it but its set to private. Maybe it isnt real at all.
btw try to search for "propellerheads record" you can see a lil' picture about something what looks pretty similar to reason as far as i can see Big Grin

look at the end of the day imo there only two things i dislike about reason thats the mixer and no waveforms in samplers etc now with an audio sequencer and a mixer based on a " classic " i will be first of the que as i dont feel the need for vsts and you can garentee that the rewire will run smooths as water mate

anyone got a release date tyet

ssl buss comp and ssl eq as well as other plugs from other designers
what more can you ask for you dont even have to have reason open to use reason devices it automatically finds reason installed and lets u use the synths

Just looked at the site, seems nice and glossy lol, but it seems to be geared towards musicians (read: beginners Tongue

). I for one am not looking for simplicity and good looks in a DAW, rather pure power, advanced features and lots of keyboard shortcuts Big Grin

They are looking for beta testers, I'd say if you are interested it would not hurt to sign up!!
