Please check out my new track 'Solid Mystery' and post your comments here!

I made this track with FL8, the bassline in Massive and the mastering with Ozone 4.

I was going for something like a mystery. Throughout the track i play sounds that eventually come together in the end to solve the mystery.

Comments welcome.

Big ups !
First of all I must add this style of dnb isnt realy my cup of thea annymore, keep in mind when reading my comment..
First thing that gets my attention is that the overall sound of your soundscapes, percussion and drums are sounding good but the bass/sinth kinda fucks the verry clean and dynamic sound over in the mids for me, try boosting some highs and or high mids of that sound and also maybe layer it, with only a narrow peak in the verry lows boosted, under the sinth track you already have (somewhere between 40 and 60/70 HZ) and cut all other sound appart from the peak.... it kinda lacks a rumble in my opinion thats mainly the reason for me to comment on it... but hey dont get me wrong sounds good as it is Wink
Cheers,
K

Sound quality is ok. Too repetitive. 2 basslines at the same time sounds confusing and uninspired.

Not bad mate. Think your bass would sound better with a touch of reverb. like the bass lick 2-10

You could bo with some percussion and hats to help you drums roll better.

The bassline gets a bit muddlely at time, Nice one Happy

The beginning vocal pad is a little bit out of place with the whole scheme of FX's and what not, try to add like a more glitchy electronic type erie tone, check out Freesound.org got lots of freaky shit there. Secondly the bass line definitly get a little bit annoying with all that wha wha whaing constalty. Its a cool idea but the whole track could use a deeper bass. Why dont you make the existing bass a mid freq bass tag along and tone it down on the resonance a bit and then add a deep even funkier and SIMPLE sub bass to keep the groove more. The drum programming is alright but every track could always use a bit more variety especially with drum n bass cause it has a repetitive nature. Over all a good idea with the fundmentals all there and well put together. This only needs like 5 more hours on it. Good mix also bro!

love the flute and conga in the intro the synth that comes in over the top kinda spoilt it a lil for me tho, woulda prefered somethin more melodic but thats just down to personal taste

snare isclearly audible but the kick can bareley be heard, i'd focus on tryin to bring the punch out more so it sits with the other elements (its drowned at the mo)

not bad stuff overall man! Bigup

Dreamy buildup, great synth sounds, snare sounds a lil out of place, needs more attack and snappiness. Arrangement seems a lil confused tho, not enuff suspense and build up in the breakdowns. Seems a lil repetitive aswell, lackin a big HOOK, maybe in the form of a dirty vocal line. Gets a bit too busy around 03:30, the two synths clash badly, could solve this with some sidechaing, using the kik and snare as the triggers. Overall tho, not bad, but not pioneering enuff to stand from the crowd tho.
