Good afternoon all,
Maybe you care 0% for what I am about to say but I quit smoking as of today.
I use nicotine patches to get through the day and they irritate my skin so severely I almost look like a meth addict picking my skin
.
If someone has the idea of quitting smoking or is still in the process off they can post in this thread and gives updates!
Wish me luck

Thx thx but I'm not there yet, the withdrawal symptoms will kick in when i'm building down my dose of nicotine, and I can tell you that it will be ABSOLUTE mayhem for my family and friends
I tried cold turkey a few times and i thought i was going to murder someone hehe. The patches are a God's gift I tell ya.
The first period of quitting is realising that 90% of your cigs you smoke is just a habit.
For example I always lighted up a cig when I was waiting for the train, or bus or whatever, not because i needed to but to kill the time. Also when i would write an e-mail i always had to smoke one. And even now when I'm sitting here writing this i automatically searched for my pack of cigs. While there is no need to smoke.
So when I get the habit out of my system i will build down the doses and hope for the best
.
Tip for all the smokers; Cold turkey is only for the strong people, if you tried cold turkey before and almost killed someone, get patches (Like NiQuitin).

It is interesting that I was never addicted to smoking. When I was younger I did smoke like a half of pack per day, but only "to be cool"
I still smoke at parties, with friends, etc., and I get pleasure from it, but during normal daytime I never feel the "need" to smoke.
I wonder why ...
Well good luck anyways

ive tried and its damn hard....my mate bought a piggy bank and instead of buying ciggies he was chucking the money in a piggy bank, the kitty built up really fast and you realise how much money you piss away on those over-priced sticks of tabacco.
to be honest i dont wanan quit ciggies cuz i do enjoy em and it gives me an excuse to take a break at work, need to quit the 'other stuff' before i kick the fags tho...
but i just dont want to.....

If you never been addicted to nicotine you can't expect someone who is just to quit cold turkey, i've done it before and seriously considered murdering someone
.
I've only smoked 3 years now (since i was 16) but quite a lot, most of the time 30-35 cigs per day. And there have been times (like these past 2 months) that i easily smoked 50 cigs day with the consequences that the first thing i had to do to start my day was clearing my throat and nose of all the hard-slimey stuff (fkin disgusting) for like 10 minutes.
Btw these patches cost me the half of what cigarettes cost me per week so "no worries 'boot the munnee
."
PS. Respect for quitting after 15 years
(and to everybody that quitted)
