I wondered if anyone could help me on FL studio 8, i am a big current value fan but i don't know how he makes those nasty and brutal beats, For instance one like 'Current value - The Unknown' That will give you an idea of what i want, but if anyone knows how to get those beats or even how to make them myself, What do i do please help me, i'm using FL studio 8.

Must Appreciated

This is my attempt at current value breaks, you definately need a round kick (so they roll good) and a long snare

It's working for me though..
You have to wait a set amount of seconds (about 45 seconds) until you can click the download button, then it should really work.

This site is a nice source for samplepacks, and there's a ton to find at
http://www.dnbwiki.com/index.php/Free_Samples
as well.

Which samples you use is entirely up to you, and if you really want to sound like current value, then perhaps it isn't a bad idea to choose those samples that sound like current value :p

I can't give you any more detailed help because I've tried and failed on making a current value-sounding track (it sounded maybe even better), and this zip is just a quick attempt which you can definately do better if you work on it for let's say half an hour.

Do show us the result afterwards though Big Grin

I think you can get those grooves by using ez drummer or addictive drums. They make the programming more accessible and the rolls will sound more realistic, as each time you hit a snare or a kick (or anything else) the sound differs slightly.

if you afterwards tweak the integrated samples with effects (mainly distortion I guess) you can achieve a similar sound.

I’d take that tune you like, import it into some audio software and make it slower and listen closer on how the drums are done. It will be easier to recreate them.

http://www.toontrack.com/ezdrummer.asp , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE1mlwUIKO0&feature=related - for the ez drummer.

http://www.xlnaudio.com/ - for addictive drums

I’m not sure if they offer a trial or a demo but there might be more vsts like those that do.

Thanks for the help,
But do you have any idea of how i could use the drum noises from FL studio to make what CV does.

I mean in your opinion how do you think he does his breaks, i mean you can't seriously make those drums using a drum kit ???

Thanks,
