Please check out my new track 'Brody' and post your comments here!
ez dotbe.
my 2nd tune on here,
its a bit of a slammer, got the title "brody" from a mis-spelling of "broody" but it kinda fits.
iv done this all in ableton live 8.
im about 90% happy with hows it taken shape.
its a straight bounce to mp3, nothing on the master channel.
(gotta thank ketz, jimmi and clarkee for lending me there ears).
so then guys any thoughts?

Drums around 1' have some weird patterns, could flow more. Also after the early breakdown the tune could flow more, too many snare hits imo. When the drums (kick/snare) stop for a sec the hihats are much more present, meaning that they are probably pressed away by the kick and snare.

Intro is nice and dark, beats hard and deep. I like the irregularness of them.
Break: Some quietness and then sample (Which I love)
After that it doesn't really get me to be honest.
The sound design is great but you could do alot more with the sounds you have.
The bass that comes in later is awesome, though it gives no drive whatsoever.
Some minutes later now it sounds alot like a loop.
To sum up;
Drums are nice and deep
Synths are dark
The bass sounds awesome
But there is no drive.
Try working on that drive and on the repetitiveness (is that a word?)
Good job though m8.

intro atmos and pads are great, cool panning gives it great width, kick is nice and big, snare hits hard too, cut through the mix really well....think the drums could use some stricter quantization in places, some of the variations sound a little off-beat, need tightning....build up is nice....bass could use more mid-range to make it stand out more, more distortion....some cool ideas throughout this tune....overall mix is good, boost the bass a bit to sit better with the drums and the track will have more drive, a more rolling drum pattern during the drop would inject some energy too, theres too many snare during the drop, keep it a bit simpler imo....great stuff overall tho, great atmospherics!

Its much better than the one i heard on AF
Intro is nice. The beats as well. But there are some weird patterns as BD said. The bass is better too than on AF. But its could be better with some more hi on them (maybe just for me
