Please check out my new track 'Untitled April 09' and post your comments here!

Quick track made with Reason 3. Fast dark side track. Needs more work as do all my track!

Sounded alright on my car system, ok on my stereo, shite on my mp3 player, so god knows what it is really like...

This goes out to Cynik. Lets see how lower score our fans will give this one Big Grin ha ha!

All sounds made in Reason, except one synth sample which is mutated, thinking of changing it anyway. All drums are actually old school drum loops from the early 90's which I have edited.

Enjoy Happy

Ps. If your one of the new breed of dnb fans that think the scene started with pendulum, you probably won't like this in the slightest =(

this is some good stuff mate, excellent use of fx... very energetic break! sub could be a little more upfront. somehow it sounds a bit like an ongoing loop though, imo this needs more changes... still it sounds very nice, likin it!

ez brucey, some more old skool vibes comin thru, nice variety of synths giving it quite an "out there" feel, in fact i'd say this is takin me back to the hardcore days with that beat man, u've captured it well! Bigup

in terms of suggestions maybe a bit more of a defined intro / breakdown / drop. snare sounds fine maybe try get more outta the kick Drummer

Drums in the main drop don't punch (overcompressed?)Low end seems to be cutr as well. Also the drums sound very cut off and robotic. Try to add a tad reverb on the hi-end to cover this up.
The hi-end of the drums seems to conflict with some synth stabs.
Bass could push more, I hear it, but very faint.
Love the overall vibe of the tune, but I'm old breed :-)

Ez Ketz and Battledrone,

Thanks for the reviews. Slightly better scores now. Add reverb to the highs? Might give it a go, could be interesting. I notice that I am losing point in mastering and stereo imaging type of area, not production or originality areas. Looks like these will have to be things that I will have to work on.

Thanks again. Happy

Drumz are active, like the FX edits. Maybe seperate the bass layers and do a little limiting and compression to make the bass punch a little more.

Heh I love your PS. Smile (Shoot those people!)
Worshipping the intro really, sounds like obscure 90's hardcore, but then better.
The beats after the drop are a little bit too harsh for me, they could do with less overdrive.
It remembers me of some old wtf-was-it-called breakcore/hardcore/tekno group that were from UK and their records now sell for € 250,- (They used to have free raves all over UK and i think even Holland)

Ah Spiral Tribe!!

Good stuff m8. Enjoyed this

Nick ZZ: Thanks for listening mate. Really appreciate the feedback. Look forward to hearing your last track when its finished

Drw89: Glad you liked it. Really funny this song being compared to Hardcore. I've been listening to loads recently and reminsing about the early 90s Big Grin Must be rubbing off on me. Those days were so experimental, especially the darker side, then the fantastic classics by people like Nookie.

Quite funny about the SP23 comment. I used to go to there parties in the 90s aswell Big Grin

drums are cool, loads of energy, high end sounds a bit choppy and stuttery tho, need more decay and release on the high end elements....snare is a bit muffled, kicks quite big and sits well the sub....synth sounds are nice and techy, good stuff....drums are a bit loud overall in comparison to other elemets, a bit too gritty imo....nice old skool vibe throughout..

First of all, I HATE pendulum xDDD
Second of all, Im lovin' the energy of this song, Im lovin' the drums. I think it could use a little modifin' on one of the synths, but overall the ambiance of the song is fenomenal !!
Keep up the good work!
