I have a question - I have an LFO rate based bass patch and the problem is that the beginning of the bassnote (beginning of a note) keeps changing. from low frequency to high. I want to keep the high frequency start only but I dont want the whole sound to change. How can I do that?

yup, retrigger is what you need.
It's worth noting though, that if you've set your lfo-rate to let's say 1/8th, and you play 1/16th notes, you'll also have a slightly different lfo-feel. I mean, the lfo keeps the rate at 1/8th, even if you play 1/16th notes.

It is uber weird, cus I have retrig on, but still the beginning of a note changes in period.
If you mean the light under Legato sign.

Next time I need a bass, yes. but the sound I made is pretty sick to just throw away.
Besides I am not quite skilled with thor.
Any other ideas?

no way around this Im afraid. I got a couple of tunes that sound proper only after second or even fourth play. the only way is playing it a number of dummy plays when bouncing
its not just subtractor, it happens on all lfos in reason, because there is no "lfo start position" or something

why not try to resample the sound then edit the waveform so the lfo starts at the beginnig then load into a sampler and play from there

I'm not feeling this resampling idea - u can make great experiments n sound, but overall if I want to change some small things not including routing stuff then it's quite exhausting.
thanks anyway!

Not sure if this'll work, but if you're modulating the Filter 1 Freq through the Subtractors LFO, it will.
Hold shift and create an instance of Thor, initialise it.
Flip the rack and route Filter 1 Freq of the Subtractors Modulation Input to Thors CV 1 (Modulation Output).
In the MBR on Thor, route LFO 1 to CV Out1.
That way, you can hold on to the Subtractor sound, but use the LFO of Thor.
