The best tune here, by some margin, is track 2 imo. It seems to be the most complete tune from start to finish. Sounds just like a 'real' tune. Whoever produced it gets the thumbs up from me.

Hello mate, on the download. I thought there would be a few more options in the vote ie: best produced, use of samples, originality ect. and also your rating like in the music section.
Not that I have listened yet (still downloading), but I can see one or two tracks getting the vote and no responce for some. Also, no offence to you Tomos, but I don't think you should be commenting on which tune you think is best yet. That can unfairly influence the results...

That's a really cool idea...never thought of it..competitions I've seen like this previously (on DOA for example) have always been pick a favourite. I guess you can always comment on why you liked a particular track in the thread..eg I voted for x because I really liked that sound etc etc. Having individual polls for best produced, best originality etc would've been a pain in the and I don't think putting the tracks into the tunes thread would've worked??? But who knows...it is what it is so I guess you pick your favourite based on all those things

I failed, I'm on holliday right now and I tought I had uploaded the final version to my Gmail account but it seems like I took the wrong file.
Will upload my effort later on as a normal track then and upload all the samples and the FL files in which I layered the files. Just listened to the competing tracks and I must say that I woudn't have been chanceless at all.
@ Binary Havoc: do you collect the samples for a sample pack or should I do that?
I didn't vote yet, in doubt, 2 is good, but 7 is good too. I had expected a lot more on the aspect of creating sounds out of the break.

I see what you're saying mate but I doubt whether anyone would be influenced by my comments. I only declared which track I voted for, and people can already view the track votes anyway.

i have to say a bit of a let down only 7 entries after so many peeps showed interest when this compo was first mentioned lol but big ups to all that participated
edit - just had a listen, some absolutely wicked tunes in here! really impressed with a few man have to say, hats off!

few interesting attempt done. A couple I really like, but they both have something production wise I don't like, not going to say what, but its bloody annoying! Anyway, going to give them all a few listens (including mine) other the next few days before submitting.

There's 7 tracks and 7 votes... I voted and didn't take part and so did Culture Boy (and maybe some others). This means that some contestants didn't even vote.

i was waiting to find out if i coud vote or not
i may give it a few days to ponder as several of them i'm really impressed by
