Intro kinda boring, either make it shorter or add some stuff to make it more entertaining.. drop is a bit clumsy. Drums need more room in the mix (level up or other levels down). Really promising sound though... you're improving. Keep going!

dont know what you mean by "not enough punch" - like more compression? maybe its not extremely heavy sounding but the frequency spectrum is sure nice here, especially the treble side.
i appreciate the clarity in the sound here.
if i were to pinpoint any weak spots it would be the very point of the drop - it misses a slight bit of drama, if anything at all. yeah, and the claps in the intro are loud in the beginning and become slightly drowned out later (around 0:25). not sure if that is exactly what you were after.
hmm i don't think the intro is boring, likin it... good choice of sounds. i think the drop would sound better if there was a sub, but the bass is nice!
this is too short though to give a real review... keep workin!
The intro could be more interesting imo. Its not bad as it is now, but it doesnt make me feel i wanna listen to the entire tune. I like the basses in this one. The drums need more power as you noticed. With some work its could be a wicked track.
Wicked sounds and incredible intro. Absolutely rinsin on the drop!! reminds me of noisia just with more of a jump up vibe, can see this tearing the place down absoloutly naasssty man Big ups. The structure is good would like to hear more and see where you take it, the early intro might want to be trimmed in my oppinion and use more of the sounds closer to the drop. Some vocal samps would be nice also. The bass came through clear and heavy and the break was really tearing, kick and snare proper punching here on cans and monitors. Listened to it three times, very good tune!! The drop really really takes hold of you man!
I'm feeling the crunchy drums at the beginning and the bass that slowly fades in. Reminds me of tripping on microdots in San Francisco..I really would like to hear the full version. There's not a whole lot to comment on..but I'll try to listen to it again. I like the what sounds like a cop car passing and the chiming in the background. I'd say write more tunes like this one and then release them on vinyl. I'd definitly purchase this song on vinyl. I would send this tune out to every local record label and/or post it on myspace for other to download..Keep up the good work and good writing. I'd say you could sell this track esp. if its a little longer!
Wow wow Party Party !
But the Party stops at 1:06 because the reese sound is really getting strange there for 2 or 3 seconds.
This should really be inproved.
The snare/clap at the begining are soundig like they wanna stick a needle in my ear I think the highs are a little to strong.
The snares at the end are really the kind of snare i like but a little to eerrrmmm... unpunchy.
But overall a nice starting of a real party till death drumnbass song where the snares could really be inproved.
Carry on with that good work

hey gregg nice to hear more from u after a while, i'm pretty sure i heard this a while back on ur myspace page?
likin the half step bit in the intro, builds the tension well, it is a bit random tho i'd be tempted to drop it a little later with a bigger build (my personal pref try droppin it maybe on the 65th bar)
once its dropped sounds wicked, lovin the rides on the break
@ Phonetic: I’ll for sure tweak the bass some more. I guess I’ll layer some more and maybe juggle between different sounds for the sake of variation.
@ ketz: the tune hasn’t been on my myspace, it’s brand new
(just a week old or so). I’ll rearrange the structure a bit and a longer build will be added!

I really like the build of the bass prior to the drop, has a good amount of menace and growl to it. The half-speed section also plays well; the distorted NIN-esque clap snare jumps out at me as pretty cool. The bassline proper is really well executed, good energy and color. The pad at the start has good width and mirrors the menace in the bass - whether you need anything else in there for more interest is up for contention.
It could use a little more light and shade but you could very well justify the bleakness/musical negative space as stylistic - I don't think a final judgement about it can be made without hearing it in the context of the whole track.
I listened your 1:30 sample a couple of times and got fairly sucked in. Bodes well for the finished piece. Nice work.
